THE NEXT DAY, Ayesha woke up after Nora told her Isaac wanted to see her, it was apparently an emergency. So Ayesha got out of bed and got ready before leaving her room as she went to find Isaac.

Her and Isaac have always been quite close, at some point, after Ayesha arrived in Seattle, he started treating her like his own daughter he never really got the chance to have. He was really protective over her, and letting her go for a whole year was kind of weird for him.

He was glad Ayesha was back, though she seemed to only be back physically and was somewhere else spiritually.

Ayesha got in the elevator before pressing the button as the door closed and she felt the machine going up. The doors opened and Ayesha stepped out of the elevator and suddenly faced Isaac talking to some random soldier.

The man saw Ayesha and stopped his conversation with the soldier.

"Hey, Nora said you wanted to talk to me." Ayesha shrugged as she walked to him.

Isaac simply nodded before the woman watched the WLF soldier leaving the room.

"You doin' alright? Some of the soldiers you're going on mission with say you seem... Somewhere else." Isaac pointed out.

Ayesha scoffed before rolling her eyes as she sat on the edge of a red sofa in the middle of the room.

"Yeah, I am fine... Just tired."

Ayesha wasn't just tired. She wasn't doing fine either, all she wanted to do was disappear. She just wanted the universe to spare her, probably hoped many times a Seraphite would kill her and end the pain quickly.

"You sure? You know I need you tough. I told you about the mission on the Seraphites Island." Isaac reminded her.

Ayesha sighed heavily as she wiped her forehead with her hand. She almost forgot about this mission and Isaac grumbled when he realized Ayesha had forgotten.

"Ayesha... This is an important operation... We all need you, you're the best of my soldiers." Isaac said.

"I know... I am sorry. I'll train more." Ayesha nodded.

"Until then, I need to tell you about something... Important." Isaac leaned against the wall.

Ayesha scoffed with a frown, quite confused. She folded her arms together waiting for Isaac to speak up as she nodded at him.

"I'll be there during the operation... And you know I am starting to get old, soldiers aren't enough to protect me anymore." Isaac started.

"So what? You want me to protect you during the mission?" Ayesha asked.

"No, I want to name you next in line if something happens to me during that operation." He said.

Ayesha's heart dropped as she pulled herself off the sofa and straightened up. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her? The leader of the WLF if something happened to Isaac? This was unbelievable.

And Ayesha clearly thought she wasn't up to the task.

"You're tripping Isaac... Fucking mental." Ayesha scoffed.
