AYESHA STAYED ALL night on her couch, sitting alone in the dark, biting her nail anxiously. She didn't know what to do, she was lost and scared. She didn't want to believe that Tommy and Maria hadn't believed her, and yet she was sure of it.

The young woman tilts her head back, laying it on the sofa as she closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and the only thing that comes to mind is Ellie.

If Ayesha focused, if she could remember, she could still feel Ellie's lips on hers, as if they'd left a scar. She could also hear her words and her voice. And her hands on her body.

It was torture, torture to see her every day and not be able to touch her, talk to her, kiss her, claim her as her own. Ayesha doesn't know how she got there - was she always attracted to Ellie? Or did it happen overnight? One thing's for sure: she's never felt anything so strong.

And suddenly, Ayesha found herself realizing that, thinking of Ellie, she felt relieved, the anxiety had evaporated from her body, Ellie was just easing her mind.

Ayesha doesn't know how she'll do it, how she'll be able to pretend to be her friend, look her in the eye and talk to her while trying to fight off all her intrusive thoughts screaming at her to kiss her.

Ayesha opens her eyes and is startled before turning to see a figure standing by her door. She gets up and finds her way to the door before opening it.

Ellie's here.

She was out of breath, her chest moving up and down, her gaze met Ayesha's as the latter immediately lowered her eyes, she was wearing a white tank top and black jeans, her hair was tied back in a half up bun.

And Ayesha realizes just how muscular Ellie is, especially in the arms. Her heart immediately begins to race as she realizes why Ellie is here.

"I know you said you wanted to talk later but I just can't stop thinking of you." Ellie whispers, still breathless.

Ayesha wished she didn't find this attractive. She looked back into Ellie's eyes.

"I can't stop thinking of what happened yesterday and that other night we kissed, I can't get this out of my mind, I can't be your friend and I can't sleep anymore."

Ayesha doesn't know what to say, doesn't know how to react. She shouldn't and she knows it, but she can't live without it.

"Please say something..." Ellie steps closer, "Can I ask you something?"

Ayesha still says nothing and only nods positively.

"Why'd you kiss me back the other night? Why did you let me touch you yesterday?"

Ayesha didn't have an answer to this question because she had no idea. It was just as if she'd been told to do it. Told by whom? She didn't know. Most certainly by her heart.

"Because I like you more than I should and..." Ayesha pauses, realizing if she says that, there will not be any turning back, "It just felt like the right thing to do."

Ellie raises her eyebrows, clearly pleased with this answer because it's exactly how Ellie feels too.

"And you? Why'd you kiss me?" Ayesha asks back.
