Ripples, ripples against bare toes
One step, another, do you want to know?
Ripples, ripples against weak knees
Soon the caged bird will, at last, be free.
Ripples, ripples against curved hips
One word from you will forever silence my lips.
Ripples, ripples against still arms
The final silence will feel infinitely calm.
Ripples, ripples against a rigid neck
Quiet, peaceful, unlike a train wreck.
Ripples, ripples against a closed mouth
Please search high and low, north, south.
Ripples, ripples against hazy eyes
No need for struggle when you needn't try.
Ripples, ripples against fine hair
This is for proving how much you never cared.
Ripples, ripples, still at last
Nobody will come, yet here, I passed.
