My chest pulls tighter and tighter
And their arms reach out and open it up
My breathing quickens faster and faster
And their bodies exert oxygen into my mouth
My body shakes harder and harder
And their hands reach out to stabilise it
My head gets fuzzier and fuzzier
And their minds are strong enough for me
I feel lonelier and lonelier
And their gentle caress makes me feel safe
I feel faint, dizzier and dizzier
And their bodies are there to steady me
My heart pounds more irregularly and more irregularly
And theirs beat steadily enough for all of us
I am falling further and further
And their embrace catches me from the ground
I am getting worse and better
And it is their words which are saving me.
