We run, we run
But often stop to breathe.
We love too deeply
But stop to look back.
We jump and soar
But have a safety net.
We smile, we smile
But it's sometimes forced.

But we die.
We laugh
But we cry.
We live
But regret.
We run, we run
With outstretched arms
Reaching for security,
We will never be free.
