observational watching

As I sit here silently, just observing,
I notice a million different things;
She smiles and another laughs,
He yawns and she stifles a sob,
She talks animatedly and he stares into space.

But here's the catch... We are all connected.

For her smile lit up someone else's day
And the boy yawning just broke the crying girl's heart,
The girl expressing herself is talking about herself yet again and not realising his distress.
So what I really noticed is how odd life is;
a million simple actions can have a million different influences on someone else.
We are completely oblivious, blind, naïve.
So next time you smile, yawn, cry, laugh, day dream, converse, blink, watch the clock, take a breath, remember that every move you make is not just yours but an entirety of peoples'.
Now how alone do you feel?
