River wash me away

River wash me away
To lands which are greater,
Where the sky is so far indebted to the sea
That they are joined at the seam
Of a dripping horizon.

River wash me afloat
And wash me ashore to islands
Of adore and islands of inevitable.

River wash me up stream
To a land of flat sand
Where the pebbles skim surfaces
Of the curve of my smile, which runs to my hips.

River wash me into golden
And silver and lilac,
Where shades
Are pastels of moonlight on ripples.

River wash me over harmonies
And let me stand amongst the moons
Of a spherical planet
With an inhabitable atmosphere
Of passion.

River wash me over mediocre
To ride amongst day dreams
Where there will never be a limit to creation and I will laugh in the rain from dawn until dusk.

River wash me to freedom from oppression
Where my mind is pure and all things are good
and thoughts of escaping yet another land are invisible.

River wash me over saturated midnight
To a land of no more
Where you will not pound my heart or my mind
In vengeance of yours.

River wash me over stained eyes
To forgive all that's lost
Where loneliness is interchangeable with nothing but time.

River wash me away
To lands of divine
Where flowers survive harsh winters
And we can talk for millenniums.

River wash me away
To lands which are greater
Than heaven in the sky,
Or heaven on earth.

River wash me away
To a land of possible
Where a single embrace
Will control the tides.

River wash me away
To a land of more than okay
Where yesterday is a memory
And the pain dissipates.

River wash me away.
