Klaus's POV:

I wake on the ground of the foyer. Freya stands above four dead witches and rushes over to me.

"Are you alright brother?" She asks extending a hand
"What happened?"
"It was Evelyn's coven. They took a shot at killing all of us at once. Elijah and Hayley were jumped out in the Quarter. Rebekah and Marcel on vacation and I just spoke with Davina. She had a barrier spell up so she's alright. I took out the people that came at me and Hope. She's fine. Sleeping spell."

"We killed Evelyn. You said so yourself." I say

Freya nods.

"But not the entire coven." She says

We look around at the bodies.

"I'm trying to track them right now." Freya says

A horrifying realization hits me.

Lorelei was out in the bayou all alone.

I look at my sister then speed off. I run through the city and am in the woods in moments.

"Lorelei!" I call out

I hear the rush of a heartbeat and speed off to meet whoever that heart belongs to.

It isn't Lorelei.

A woman stands there holding a crossbow. Her face goes pale the moment she spots me.She turns and darts off. I speed over cutting her off and grab her by the neck.

"Where is she?" I demand

"It was just a job I-"

I snap her neck and take off in the direction she had been coming from.

In a small clearing lies a black wolf with an arrow through its chest.

Lorelei.

I rush over as she turns back. She's barely conscious. The ground around her is soaked in blood. I prop her head up in my lap and yank the arrow out. I bite into my wrist and hold my breath, hoping I was t too late.

I let out a breath of relief as she starts to feed on me. I watch with close eyes as the wound starts to heal. It's clearly taken a toll on her. Her breathing is still shallow and she's not fully awake and aware yet.

"What? You thought I wouldn't come for you?" I ask her teasingly as I try to lighten the mood

A small smile forms and I scoop her up in my arms and speed home as fast as I can.

I open the bedroom door and shut it, lying her on the bed. I cover her up and move to sit on the edge of the bed and wait.

She doesn't stir, as still as a statue.

My phone buzzes.

I've got a location
