Klaus's POV:

Lorelei stands behind me in the study as I watch our house guest closely. I'd told Hayley to keep Hope out of the house for now.

While Lorelei was hunting down Katerina, Freya was busy looking into finding out whoever it was that took Elijah. After hours of finding nothing she found a store owner who managed to catch it on camera. There was a young man who ho approached my brother.

He seemed to be acting lost. Elijah was looking around and making hand signals, probably giving him directions.

When he turned his head to point to a street, this guy quickly snapped his neck. Freya watched along with the store owner as a man threw Elijah over his shoulder as if it was nothing and carried him off camera. This young man with brown hair and blue eyes didn't seem to realize this however. The store owner stood there stunned believing she'd just witnessed a murder take place.

Freya called me down and I compelled her. Another store owner recognized the man. Said his name was Miles but that was all she knew. He came in from time to time to get supplies but she hadn't seen him in awhile.

Not until now.

When I walk back into the compound, Katherine is tied to a chair with vervain ropes. She's got dark black jeans and boots and a tank tank top on. Her dark brown curls get caught in the rope so she winces as she turns her head.

The ropes sizzle as the vervain comes into contact with her skin making it red as it burns. She shoots Lorelei a glare but when she sees me her eyes go wide with panic and she starts to jerk around, struggling to break free.

"Zdraveĭte Katerina." I say
"Klaus. What do you want?" She demands
"Information."
"How did you even find me?"
"I never lost track of you love. You may have taken off out of Mystic Falls but I've kept eyes watching your every move since." I tell her

This was half true. After Katherine ran off when we were in Virginia together I made my way to New Orleans based off of her tip. I hadn't had track of her movements until a year later when another vampire called in. Since then I'd been keeping tabs in case she made a single move against me or my family.

"Have you heard of someone named Miles?" I ask
"Depends. Who's he to you?" Katherine asks
"A dead man. He helped abduct Elijah."

At more than a few points in history (against my wishes) Elijah fancied Katherine and sometimes aided her in her schemes. Regardless of their standing with one another, Katherine wouldn't allow Elijah to be harmed.

"I see you've met Lorelei." I say and gesture towards the gnarly wolf bite

Katherine shoots another glare at Lorelei.

"If you want me to heal that bite, I suggest you tell me what I want to know, before the hallucinations kick in." I say with a low voice

Katherine contemplates this but only for a moment before she speaks again. I can see her picture her demise: a horrid fever plagued with hallucinations as the venom fills her veins until ultimately, it kills her.

A slow and painful death.

"If I tell you what you want to know, you'll let me go?" Katherine asks

"You have my word."
