Klaus's POV: Flashback

I'm sitting on the couch with a book.

Lorelei's standing a few feet away, arms crossed over her chest, annoyed.

"I'd watch the attitude if I were you love." I warn her

"Nik there's four other people who live here. Why the hell do I have to clean the floors?" She argues

"You will because I told you to." I say in a warning tone looking up at her

"You don't ever give me a choice." She hisses

I stand up and walk over to her. Her heart begins to race. I stare into her eyes.

"Very well. I'll give you a choice. You can either cut the attitude and do as I asked or I'll take you to my room and bend you over my knee." I say

She looks into my eyes and can tell I mean it. Without another word she walks into the kitchen.

I go sit back down and enjoy my bourbon.

It's silent for about five minutes before there's a crash and the sound of glass shattering.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Lorelei yells

I speed into the kitchen. She's on the ground surrounded by shattered glass. The mason jars on the shelf had all come crashing down.

"Are you alright?" I ask
"I'm fine." She says

She moves her hand out of my sight thinking I didn't notice.

"Show me your hand."
"Nik I told you I'm fine."
"Lorelei every time you say those two words to me from now on I'm going to make you regret it. I will not ask you again."

She sighs and holds up her hand which is bleeding. There's fragments of glass in her hand.

"It's alright I'll take care of it." She insists
"Like hell you will." I say

I scoop her up and take her into the study and place her on the couch. I leave the room and return with a bowl and wet paper towel.

She'll heal but I have to get the glass out first.

I grip her wrist so she can't yank it away and as gently as I can, remove a piece.

She winces.

"I know love." I say trying to comfort her

Another piece lands in the bowl.

Then another.

Tears form in her eyes as I grab a piece that's deeper than the rest.

"Take a deep breath." I say

I pull it out before she can exhale then place the wet paper towel over her hand then inspect it for more glass.

"What the hell happened in the kitchen?" Freya asks walking in

She takes a moment to understand what's going on in front of her.

"A little accident but nothing to be concerned about." I reassure her
"Okay. I'll get it." She says and turns and walks away
"You okay?" I ask Lorelei
"I'm okay baby. Look. It's already healing." She says

I look down at her hand. The wound is slowly but surely improving. I give her a kiss then help her stand up and she hugs me tightly.
