Rebekah's POV:

I grab my phone and head for the door, springing into action as soon as I got the text from Nik. The news wasn't great. Not only had Lorelei flipped her switch, she took off as soon as she had the chance, jumping off the balcony into the street in the dead of night.

Marcel steps out of the bathroom, wrapped in nothing but a towel.

His smile fades quickly when he sees the look on my face.

"What is it?"
"Unfortunately still dealing with the aftermath of Shawn. When will my family finally be able to claw out of the wreckage?"

We've gone back to New Orleans for a short while to join in the mourning of the dead as well as check on everyone.

Hayley stayed close to Hope, using her as an anchor, for peace.

Nik without Lorelei, confined himself to study and rarely left.

Freya left the city on vacation with Keelin and still has yet to return.

Lorelei left altogether and we hadn't heard a word from her until Nik tracked her down, not listening to any of us as we strongly suggested him not to.

Elijah would keep me updated on the phone calling at least once a week to let me know how things were going.

"How bad is it?"

"Nik thinks I can get through to Lorelei."

Not long after, we're in New Orleans. Not wanting to get involved in what's currently going on, Marcel decides to go visit Josh for awhile, insisting that if I need anything, he's just a phone call away. I thank him with a kiss and we depart. I head for the compound.

Lorelei's POV:

I'm taking off down the street when I just do happen to catch the sight of a familiar ginger- haired blue eyed vampire in the street.

Annabeth.

We'd become good friends after she'd abducted me and dropped me off with Nik the last time I flipped my switch. I hung out with her often. Mainly at parties where the music blared and we could feed without a care in the world.

Vampire paradise.

I could use some of that right now.
