Rebekah's POV:
Damon and I are walking along the street. We're surrounded by woods and I haven't seen a person or car for miles. It's pretty desolate out here. There's a gas station ahead of us. Other than the faint buzz of the light flickers showing this a store is open there's no other sound of life.
I pull up my phone when I hear it buzz and see a text from Freya.
About 30 feet in front of you
-Freya
I share this information with Damon and together we look around but we don't see anyone. I look up and down the road and scan the tree line but still nothing.
Was Freya mistaken?
"They must be in the gas station." Damon says
I listen intently but I don't hear a heartbeat. Damon still insists that we should check it out so we head for the store. When we get closer I realize there's a car in the parking lot with the doors open. Everything about this situation feels off so I tried carefully when suddenly Damon flies backwards into the air and hits the ground. He rolls a few times before he stops. I look around to see what had attacked him.
Three witches suddenly appear out of thin air.
Invisibility spell.
Inside of the car piles of cash and food supplies also come into my line of view and it's then that I realize that they were robbing the store so they could run. I shoot a quick glance over at Damon and I can tell he's figured it out too.
"We had a feeling you would find us." One of the female witches says as she lowers your hand
The three other witches beside her stand fast, ready to attack if necessary.
"So why bother splitting up? Seems like a pretty stupid move." Damon asks
"It caused you to split up too didn't it? Evelyn believed it would be easier, less of a hassle if we took all of you down separately." She says
"Smart plan. Didn't work well the first time." I reply
She raises her hand and a piercing pain starts to form in my brain. I collapse to the ground, holding my head.
"Let's make this interesting. Invisique."
The witches vanish and the spell breaks. Damon gives me a hand up.
"Let's end this shall we?" I ask
"How am I supposed to kill what I can't see?"
I shrug.
"Try your best."
