Klaus's POV:
I sit in the kitchen with Hope when Rebekah walks in. Alone. Lorelei is nowhere to be seen.
This better be good.
Hayley walks in off the street as well.
She'd been up all night with Hope.
Hope had started feeling dizzy and started throwing up.
Freya inspected her to make sure the results of her illness weren't through any spells from possible enemies. Just to be safe.
After a few hours, I'd noticed Hayley wincing in pain quite a bit. It's been hours since she'd fed last. I'd suggested earlier that I could take over but she refused to leave her side until we had answers.
After some prodding, I finally got her to at least go drink a blood bag. She didn't want to leave Hope's side. So much so that she was mere moments from dessicating. I had to grab the blood bag from the kitchen since she was unable to walk at that point.
Once Hope was asleep in bed, Hayley took off to get some fresh blood to fully regain her strength. She walks over to Hope and plants a kiss on her forehead.
"How are you feeling sweetie?" Hayley asks as she brushes Hope's hair out of her eyes
"I'm still sleepy." Hope says
Hayley scoops her up and they head deeper into the house while Rebekah walks over to me.
"Well? Where is she?" I growl
"How about a 'thank you dear sister for tracking her down for me'?" She snips back
"You did find her? Where is she then?"
"She told me to tell you that if you come after her again, you'll regret it."
A threat.
Now I know Lorelei would never wish harm upon any of us but without her humanity, she was capable of anything.
If she had simply taken off and kept a low profile that was one thing.
She already had a killing streak of more than a dozen people and the numbers kept climbing. Now she was threatening me.
My family.
Our family.
I can't let this stand.
"Where is she Rebekah?" I demand
"Nik you need to just leave her be."
"She's threatening our family sister!"
"Because you won't leave her be!"
I let out a growl of annoyance but knowing Hope might still be within earshot, I try to keep my anger at bay and my voice low.
"She's killed at least 16 people so far Rebekah. I want her back here for her own safety. If she keeps being reckless, it will get her killed."
