Part 55

"What do you want to do for these three days then?" Dec enquired.

"I don't care" Ant smiled contentedly "as long as I'm with you"

"How did I know you'd say that?" Dec grinned "You'd be happy to stay in bed for the whole time too I bet?"

"Too right I would" Ant grinned and kissed Dec's cheek "that would be amazing...I'm so happy you've taken this time off especially for me,I really appreciate it"

"I wanted to" Dec shrugged "I missed you so much,I need to be with you right now"

"Good" Ant nodded "I'm glad"

"So you haven't really told me much about your time in the army yet" Dec stated "how was it?was it a complete nightmare?"

"To start with...yeah,it was" Ant nodded "the work was boring,tiring and gruelling,the food was tasteless and sloppy and I was constantly hungry,the Commanders were basically bullies who shouted all the time and treated us like shit and my bed was as hard as rock,but worse of all was not being with you for such a long time"

"Oh Ant" Dec frowned and snuggled in closer "that all sounds so horrible"

"Yeah,it was" Ant replied "but at least it's over and done with now and it wasn't all bad,by the end I had made some great friends who I'll no doubt see again,you'll love them,I got to do some filming too and I also made friends with a stray dog...slept on the floor by my bed every night,I called him Bob"

"Aww" Dec smiled gently "why didn't you bring him home with you?one more dog wouldn't hurt"

"Ha" Ant laughed "Bet Mel and Amira would have loved that and I did actually think about it,but the guys wanted to keep him there,they promised to look after him"

"What kind of dog was he?" Dec enquired.

"Just a scruffy old mongrel" Ant smiled at the memory of his canine friend "with a lazy eye,but he was sweet"

"Did you take a picture of him?" Dec asked excitedly.

"Nah" Ant shook his head "wasn't allowed to have my phone on me remember?"

"Oh yeah" Dec sighed.

"And if it had been allowed" Ant continued "it would be you I'd want pictures of"

"Don't leave me again" Dec suddenly blurted out.

"I won't" Ant assured him and kissed him passionately "I promise"

Although work commitments still meant there were times when they would actually be apart,Ant vowed to himself that nothing or nobody would cause the kind of separation they'd just been through ever again.

As their lips parted,Ant stared at Dec intently with a huge grin on his face.

"What?" Dec asked curiously.

"Nothing" Ant smiled "I just fancy you so much"

"Still?" Dec laughed "after all these years?"

"Yeah,still" Ant whispered lovingly "now more than ever,you're gorgeous and I can't get enough of you"

"Thanks" Dec giggled "you're gorgeous too"

The boys did indeed spend most of the next three days in bed,making love or just sleeping in each other's arms,not even getting dressed except for when they took the dogs for a walk.

They were blissfully happy,but those three days went by way too quickly and before they knew it,they both had to return to work.

But loving their jobs as they both did,made a huge difference.
