Part 9

Both men felt exhausted when they woke up the next morning,having only gotten a few hours sleep and they both had unsightly bags under their eyes from all the crying they'd done.

"Morning" Ant whispered and kissed Dec's cheek.

"Morning" Dec sighed and immediately apologised for the events of the previous night.

"Don't you dare say sorry" Ant replied bluntly "you haven't done anything wrong"

He pulled Dec closer,who rested his head comfortably on Ant's chest.

"I didn't mean to ruin the weekend" Dec said.

"You haven't" Ant insisted "all you've done is bring us closer"

Dec smiled to himself at Ant's kindness.

"Ant?" Dec whispered.

"Hmm?"

"I think I'd like you to meet my family?" Dec announced.

"Really?" Ant asked surprised "I thought you weren't ready for that?it was only yesterday that you said you weren't"

"Yeah,I know" Dec nodded and sat up so he could look at Ant "but after last night,I...I know I can trust you,I know you're the genuine article,I know we're meant to be together"

"That makes me very happy to hear you say that" Ant beamed "and of course I'd love to meet your family"

"Great" Dec smiled "but just to warn you,they're all completely nuts,especially my Mum"

"I think your mum sounds amazing" Ant laughed.

"She is" Dec smiled "in a crazy kind of way,our relationship is rather...umm...explosive to say the least,we argue a lot and it can get violent"

"Violent?" Ant asked shocked.

"Not physically" Dec quickly added "but we shout a lot...break things in frustration sometimes"

"Sounds like you might have a bit of a temper" Ant frowned.

"Yeah,well,who do you think I get it from?" Dec shrugged "I guess that's the Lebanese in us,but we love each other and we're all very protective of each other and they're all very protective of me,especially since I became well known and I guess that's what I need"

"Well,I can't wait to meet them" Ant smiled "and all their craziness"

"They'll love you" Dec beamed,as he snuggled into Ant's arms "and you'll love them"

"Hope so" Ant mumbled,although he was doing his best to hide the fact that meeting Dec's family was filling him with fear.

Ant left it to Dec to decide if he wanted to tell him anything more about his life before they met,he certainly didn't want to risk upsetting him again.

Thankfully Dec did seem exceptionally cheerful now and just knowing that Ant was there for him played a huge part in that.

"What do you fancy for breakfast?" Dec smiled "I'll make something while you have a shower if you like?"

"You don't want to join me in the shower?" Ant grinned.

Dec looked at Ant seriously.

"I'm sorry we never got to make love last night" he said "I know you were really looking forward to it"

"Hey,that doesn't matter" Ant smiled "the time has to be right and last night wasn't it and anyway..."

"What?" Dec asked curiously.

"You're worth waiting for" Ant beamed "now what's for breakfast?"

"Well,I could do a full English" Dec replied as he scanned through the contents of his fridge "Don't have any sausages or bacon though obviously"
