"What do you think?" Dec asked shyly.
"Is that why you've been so secretive about this song?" Ant asked "you wanted it to be a surprise?"
"Yeah" Dec nodded "it's called The Origin Of Love"
Ant sat down next to Dec on the piano stool and pulled him in for a hug.
"It's absolutely amazing" Ant smiled "I can't believe you did that for me,it's so special,thank you"
"I've also decided it's going to be the title of my new album" Dec announced proudly.
"You're amazing" Ant gushed and kissed Dec's cheek.
"You know when I wrote that?" Dec asked.
"When?" Ant replied.
"That day in the taxi from the airport when we first arrived here" Dec beamed "it just came to me and I wrote the lyrics in fifteen minutes again,I've just been working on the melody since then...although I have been toying with the idea of writing a song for you practically since we first met"
"Aha" Ant laughed "so that's what you were doing scribbling away that day?"
"I just wanted you to know how I feel about you" Dec smiled.
"Dec,we've been together for five years" Ant laughed "think I pretty much know how you feel about me by now,but thank you,this is amazing and so romantic,I can't wait to hear the finished product"
"You're welcome" Dec beamed and rested his head on Ant's shoulder.
"You know what?" Dec said.
"What?" Ant asked.
"I think I'm ready to go home now" Dec replied.
"Really?" Ant asked surprised "thought you loved it here?"
"I do" Dec insisted "but I've finished writing the album,that was the whole point in coming here in the first place,now I need to get back in the recording studio...and I've missed everyone"
Ant and Dec had gone back home a few times to visit people and for some work related things,but only ever for a few days at a time,but now it was time for more.
"Probably time to give Darren his house back" Ant nodded "he's put up with us for eight months"
"Ah,he loves having us here" Dec smiled "I'm just ready to go home"
"Me too" Ant replied "which home?"
"London,I think" Dec replied "for now anyway"
"Let's go then" Ant beamed "let's go home.
"And after I've recorded the album and before I start touring again,there's something else I want to do" Dec announced.
"Oh yeah?" Ant replied "What's that?"
"I want to go to Lebanon" Dec announced excitedly.
"What?" Ant frowned "why the hell would you want to visit that God forsaken country?"
Ant knew by the look on Dec's face that he'd dropped himself in the shit with one short sentence.
"God forsaken country?" Dec asked tearfully "that's the country of my birth,where my relatives live...yes it has its troubles,but it's an amazing place that I love,is that really what you think?"
"Dec...I...I...I'm sorry" Ant stuttered "that came out wrong"
"God forsaken country is what you said" Dec stated "seems pretty clear to me"
"I just meant..." Ant sighed "that it's a country that doesn't treat people like us well,we deserve to die for being gay as far as they're concerned,I'm scared for you if you go there,for us"
