"Really?" Ant asked,while smiling at Melachi who was snoring away in her bed "Where's this come from?"

"I just love dogs" Dec shrugged.

"Well,I know that" Ant laughed "it's just not something that has even entered my mind"

"Well,it has now" Dec grinned "so what do you think?wouldn't it be lovely for Mel to have a playmate?"

"Not sure that lazy lump needs one" Ant laughed.

"Well?" Dec asked hopefully.

"I'm not sure" Ant frowned "we're both so busy,we already spend so much time away from home and Mel already spends so much time at the dog sitters"

"Which she loves" Dec pointed out "that's why another dog would be good company for her,come on Ant,will one more dog really make such a difference?we're already dog owners and we can give another one a lovely home"

"That's true" Ant smiled "Ok,let's do it"

"Brilliant" Dec replied loudly and threw his arms around Ant.

So just a few weeks later,they were welcoming their new arrival into their home.

Having gone to the same place,the new puppy was actually Melachi's niece and this time,they already had a name picked out ready.

"Melachi" Dec announced as Mel sniffed the new puppy in Dec's arms "this is Amira,she's your niece"

The two dogs got on from the word go and soon became best friends.

"We're now a family of four" Ant laughed as he watched the dogs frolicking in the garden one day.

"Yeah" Dec nodded and came up to Ant and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind "and I couldn't be happier"

"Me too" Ant replied.

"You know what I'm gonna do?" Ant smiled,completely changing the subject.

"What?" Dec asked curiously.

"I'm going to learn to speak Greek" Ant announced proudly.

"Really?" Dec asked surprised.

"Yeah" Ant nodded "I've been thinking about it for a while,my Dad is Greek after all,I have a lot of family in Greece,so I think it'll be a good idea"

"Go for it" Dec beamed "I can help you if you like?"

"Er...you don't speak Greek" Ant laughed.

"Well,I can advise you on the best way to learn a language or something" Dec laughed "and maybe I'll pick some up too"

"I'll have lessons" Ant announced "and I'll be fluent before you know it,just hope I can learn as quickly as you do"

"Its not a competition" Dec replied "and I know you'll do great...maybe your Dad could teach you?"

"Yeah,well" Ant frowned "his Greek isn't so great now having spent most of his life in Britain"

"Lessons it is then" Dec smiled.

Dec kissed Ant's cheek just as his phone rang.

Ant could tell that Dec was getting very excited by whatever conversation that was going on.

"Good news baby?" Ant asked once Dec had ended the call.

"The best" Dec grinned "the TV channel Rai2 want to give me my very own show here in Italy,isn't that amazing?"

"Wow" Ant stated "it really is,congratulations,what's it going to be?"

"An entertainment show" Dec announced "with guest stars,interviews,sketches...you know?a kind of variety show with me hosting and I'll be doing some singing and dancing too"
