13. She Drugged me Emo

The party venue was sparkling with lights and happy guests.

Mr. Lee (Hal-abeoji)'s driver was pushing his wheelchair through the entrance. The party was about to start and Hal-abeoji was the first guest of the night.

"Bo Youngaa... Lee Bo Young" Mr. Lee called for his daughter who was instructing the servers about dish arrangements.

"Appa!!" She rushed towards Mr. Lee beaming with happiness.

"You have made pretty good arrangements..." Hal-abeoji appreciated the decorative arrangements.."Thanks, Appa... You tell me how is your health these days?" She asked sitting on a nearby chair in front of Hal-abeoji.

"I'm am fine... I can't see Yoona and Jong Suk. Have they not arrived yet?" He asked looking around the venue.

"Jong Suk texted me that they are arriving in a while... But Appa... There is something important I have to talk to you about before they get here..." Her tone suddenly became serious.

"What is it?" Mr. Lee was confused looking at his daughter's face...

"Appa I didn't bring it up since you were not well... But do you really think getting Yoona and Jong Suk married is a good shot?" She sounded anxious.

"Why not? What's wrong with your best friend's daughter being a daughter-in-law of our family?" Mr. Lee was furrowing his brows.

"It's not about that Appa... This marriage is not all about Yoona you have to understand that... Jong Suka is equally important... I know you wanted to fulfill Yoona's wish to get married to Jong Suk... But what about Jong Suk? Your own grandson? What about his feelings?"

"He will be alright..." Mr. Lee simply looked away from her.

"Appaa... That's not how marriages work..." She was getting agitated... "If he is not happy with his own wife do you think he will be able to keep Yoona happy? They both will end up unhappy and hurt like this."

"Bo Youngaa... Now they are married... They have to work it out... And they will... Let them spend some time together... Understand each other... Do you think I don't love my own grandchild? Or do I care about Yoona more than him? They both are equally important to me... I just know they are best for each other..." Hal-abeoji was insistent.

Bo Young sighed... She couldn't tell her father that their Jong Suk hated Yoona and he had a valid reason to do that... She didn't argue anymore understanding that this discussion was not to bring any outcome.

They both entered the venue... The venue was buzzing with people... Chang Hoo left after dropping them off, he had to go to his family today, as his mother was not feeling well... Jong Suk let him take the car with him saying that they would figure out their transportation for the way back on their own.

At the entrance seeing a gift pack in Yoona's hand, he suddenly realized... He left his gift box in the car... He immediately called Chang Hoo and asked him to bring him the box... He must not have gotten far.

"Don't worry about the gift, I have prepared this gift from both of our sides..." Yoona told him as he was done talking to Chang Hoo about coming back... She even showed him the card she attached to the gift where she scribbled both of their names.

"I don't need to do that..." He frowned... If she was uncomfortable in sharing rides with him why should he share her gift?

Yoona shrugged carelessly walking forward inside... She looked stunning in her black long gown... He was wearing a black tuxedo... They unintentionally matched their outfit's color.
