35. ME OR HER???

The excruciating day ended and the new morning brought new hopes... Yoona spent the night at the villa... Jong Suk stayed at the hospital last night... she didn't have the time to discuss with him what Hal-abeoji said to her last night about them getting divorced...

She had to go to the office to find out what action the Prosecutors' Office was going to take... She entered the building under a lot of stares and whispers around her... She was feeling vulnerable getting burnt under people's glares... She entered the elevator with her phone chiming with a message notification... She unlocked her phone to read the message... Her chief immediately called her to his office... She sighed heavily... It was time to get scolded by her seniors for disgracing and tainting the credibility of the whole Prosecutors' Office...

That message was followed by another message from the Prosecutor General's Assistant with the same words but coded in professionalism that she had to visit his office today...

"Thissss.... This was the exact reason I was so against you taking up this case because I knew that you would mess up!!! Now look what you did... The whole Prosecutors' Office became a joke in people's eyes that what kind of people we are hiring..." Putting his hands on his hips her chief was going mad...

Yoona was quietly taking in all the scoldings humming the melody of dismay in her head staring at the Chief's office white tiles with her head down...

"You have brought disgrace to the whole office..." Chief shook his head in disappointment... "Hand in your ID card you are being suspended until the Special Disciplinary Committee reaches a decision on your case..." He was speaking throwing himself in his chair...

Yoona sighed, placed the ID card held in her hand on Chief's desk, and handed it over to him...

"Be thankful that I didn't let them put you under arrest only because you are one of us... Now present yourself in front of the committee on the due date..." Chief said disheartened, threw her card in his drawer slamming his drawer close...

Yoona bowed and left the Chief's office with slow heavy steps... It's not like she didn't expect it coming... She knew this would happen but facing the situation was still making her feel sad and regretful...

She walked to her office taking dead steps, she had to clear her desk for the time being she was going to be suspended... Facing her own team was another test... She released a hitching breath turning the knob of her office door... Her name plaque at the office door was giving her tears but she hid them opening the door...

"Geomsanim..." Associate Ji was the first one to notice her entering... She was looking concerned... Associate Ji did feel betrayed at first yesterday after the hearing but she came to realize what she prejudged may be wrong and she should patiently wait for Yoona to come to them with the actual truth...

Assistant Ahn and Inspector Choi both looked up at her walking to her desk...

Yoona was arranging the documents at her desk in silence... She clearly remembered what her own team was talking about after hearing about her... She was not mad at them... They were working for the Prosecutor's Office, an office that wins arguments based on the evidence only... And all the evidence was against her...

"I have been suspended for the time being until the Special Disciplinary Committee reaches a decision about my case..." She finally muttered looking between them...

They looked puzzled but remained silent...

"Inspector Choi, regarding the Cyber Bullying case, talk to as many people who are involved as possible and prepare a report, Associate Ji and Assistant Ahn I want both of you to talk to as many employees as possible from the clubs, motels, restaurants about the suspicious activities being committed by Park Min Jun and his disciples... Make a report on that... I will check back on the reports once I get back..." She was instructing flatly...
