Chapter 4: Don't be Stupid!

Y/n POV

I got really flustered when I was doing research with Law, but I really need to control myself. 'Damn it, Y/n, he isn't going to stay here with you. You just have to help him go back home.' You mentally beat yourself up

While cutting up the fish to cook and Bepo at your side washing the rice (AN:Always wash your rice!) You were so entranced with what you were doing that you accidentally cut your finger. "Ah! Shit, shit, shit, fuck" Bepo notices and panics "Miss. Y/n! Oh no, I'll go get you a band-aid!" He goes off as you clean your cut.

'Come on Y/n this isn't the time to be stupid and cut yourself! You need to help Bepo and Law' while cleaning your finger, you didn't notice that you had tears falling down your face."Miss. Y/n I got the band-aid!" Bepo walks in with a happy smile,"Miss Y/n? Are you okay? You're crying."

You frantically wipe your tears away and smile. "Ah, yeah I'm fine Bepo. The-the cut just hurts a lot, that's all.." You try and brush it off as Bepo walks closer to you he wipes tears on the brink of falling."Miss Y/n, are you really okay?"

Maybe it was because you've been on your own for so long, maybe because you really needed someone to talk to in all these years, or maybe it was because someone actually cared enough to ask.. "No, no I'm not okay Bepo." More tears fall as you jump to hug Bepo and he comforts you."It's okay. Miss y/n you know you're a lot like Captain. You don't like sharing the pain you keep in, huh?"

You were shocked you moved away from Bepo. "Am I that easy to read?" You smile a little,"haha just a little. " The shy bear smiles he gets your injured hand and puts a the band-aid on."Let's continue cooking so we can all eat." You tell Bepo he nods in agreement.

When you finished, you yelled out to Law, "Food's ready! Let's eat Law!"

Law comes in looking a little frustrated, maybe mad? But for sure, a sour face. We eat in a somewhat uncomfortable silence, but Bepo tried to still keep me cheerful by having a small conversation with me.

I didn't know why, but I felt as though Law had his guard up. Did I do something wrong? Is he uncomfortable because I'm hanging out with his first mate a lot? I shake the thoughts away, thinking maybe I just needed a relaxing bath.

I get up from my seat, but a hand grabs my arm. "Y/n-ya, can I have a word with you later? It's pretty important." Perplexed, I reluctantly nodded my head.

I get the bath ready and think about what Law wanted to talk about that was so important. 'Could it be the timespan he wants to be back in the world of One Piece?' I thought as I stepped into the warm water with suds at my chest. I hear a knock.

A KNOCK?!

"Y/n-ya, can we talk now?"

"Law, what the hell, NO! GIVE A WOMAN HER BATH TIME AT LEAST!!!"

"It's not like I'm new to these things, I had a woman in my crew before, and I am a doctor." Law says as matter of fact.

My face goes red... DEEP RED.

"Okay, but just stay at the other side of the door."

"Fine, I'll also get straight to the point. I was doing some research on that Isaki thing you were talking about when I thought of researching something I've also been interested in in MY world."

I shot my head to the door.'Shit, shit, shit. Of course, curiosity got to him.' I bit my nail. It's a horrible habit when I get stressed.

"O-okay, so w-what did you look for?"

In one line, my plan shattered.

"The One Piece."

My eyes grew wide, damn it. All that planning with Bepo for nothing. What do I do now? Do I save the lie, or do I come clean?
