The twins had excitedly announced the plan for the reception and then quickly scampered away from Aanvik and Vaani's room. Aanvik and Vaani were left in a state of surprise, still registering the fact that the reception was happening that day. Vaani remained seated on the bed, lost in thought until a sudden sneeze and shiver escaped her lips. Aanvik, noticing her discomfort, glanced in her direction, suspecting she might be feeling cold. Slowly, Vaani rose from the bed, swaying slightly under the weight of her wet clothes, which clung heavily to her body. The chill in the air, combined with her hunger, left her feeling slightly unsteady. She made her way over to the bag that held her dry clothes and other essentials. As she bent down to pick them up, Aanvik couldn't help but watch her. His eyes widened when her almost naked, wet back and the graceful contours of her body came into view as she leaned down. Aanvik's reaction was a mixture of admiration and concern for her well-being.

As Vaani quickly gathered her clothes, she couldn't ignore the intense heat of Aanvik's gaze on her back. The sensation made her tense up, and she instinctively tossed her hair backwards, allowing it to cascade down her back and conceal her figure from his view. Despite her attempts to shield herself, she could still sense his eyes on her. With her clothes in hand, Vaani turned to leave the room, but her heart skipped a beat as Aanvik's voice halted her in her tracks. When she looked back, she saw him standing by the door, holding a remote in his hand. A sense of foreboding washed over her as she heard the distinct click of the door locking. Panic began to take hold as the reality of her situation sank in. She trembled with fear, fully aware that she was now trapped in the room, uncertain of what consequences lay ahead.

Aanvik, filled with regret, moved closer to Vaani, sandwiching her between the door and his own body. He could feel the trembling coursing through her, and he saw her tightly shut eyes, a clear sign of her fear. He longed to offer her comfort, to ease the distress he had inadvertently caused. Despite his urge to touch her and console her, he noticed the visible tremor in her lips and the way she recoiled at his slightest movement. Recognising the depth of her fear, Aanvik withdrew his hand, leaving it suspended in the air before slowly retracting it. His eyes were heavy with guilt as he continued to gaze at her, understanding that he needed to find a way to mend the trust he had broken.

"Vaani..." Aanvik began, but her alarmed reaction made her open her eyes, meeting his gaze. In that brief moment, she saw a multitude of emotions flicker across his eyes, and then they vanished, leaving her puzzled. Aanvik, on the other hand, was equally taken aback by the galaxy of emotions he saw in her eyes. It was as though her eyes held a mesmerizing world of their own, and he found himself drawn into it. He couldn't explain what was happening to him, but he had an overwhelming desire to wipe away every negative emotion from her gaze and replace it with happiness. Vaani, while initially intimidated by the intensity of their stare, soon found herself embracing it as if it offered warmth and comfort. She closed her eyes, allowing herself to be enveloped by the sensations emanating from their proximity, her heart racing as they shared this moment of connection.
