"What the hell is going on here?"

Rudra's voice roared, shattering the tense silence. Sameer's grip on me faltered, and I instinctively pushed him away. I stumbled backwards, hastily trying to cover myself. Rudra swiftly moved to sit in front of me, genuine concern etched across his face. His eyes scanned my body, searching for any signs of injury. In a protective gesture, he retrieved his jacket and gently draped it over me like a makeshift blanket. However, as his hand accidentally brushed against my forearm, I flinched involuntarily. Rudra, registering the pain in my reaction, withdrew his hand quickly, a hurt expression crossing his features.

"Bhabhi, it's me, Rudra. You don't have to be afraid," Rudra said softly, fearing Vaani's continued fear. Taking her in a brotherly hug, he gently guided her to a chair. Seeing her still shivering, he felt a surge of concern and he only saw red.

After ensuring Vaani's safety, he rushed towards Sameer, unleashing a torrent of furious blows. Sameer, a trained official, retaliated relentlessly, exploiting the age gap between them. Despite Rudra's youth, he bore the brunt of the altercation with a busted lip, bruised knuckles, damaged cheekbones, and a brutally injured eye. Yet, he stood resolute in defense of his Bhabhi.

Vaani, helpless, observed the tumult between Rudra and Sameer, a wave of guilt crashing over her. Seeing Rudra's battered state, an instant pang of remorse consumed her, and as the realization settled, her eyes welled up but obviously tears did not fall. Panic seized her, making each breath a struggle. Shivering and squirming, she muttered words, hoping for an end to the chaos. To an onlooker, her fear might seem linked to the ongoing fight, unaware that she carried the weight of responsibility for Rudra's plight on her shoulders.

Unable to remain passive, I couldn't sit idly as Rudra's condition worsened. Feeling the urgency, I knew I had to regain composure. Closing my eyes, I leaned against the wall, attempting to calm the storm within. However, a voice disrupted my efforts, freezing me like stone. It dawned on me that I might have irreversibly complicated things for myself.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" Aanvik's voice roared, and I flinched audibly. Rudra and Sameer halted abruptly. Aanvik's gaze swept the room, fixing on me, and I held my breath. His clenched jaw and unreadable eyes spoke volumes. The intensity of his stare then shifted to Sameer, fists tightening in anger, evoking fear in me. Finally, Aanvik's eyes landed on Rudra, a myriad of emotions flickering within seconds. Once more, he turned his scrutinizing gaze toward me, questioning, and this time, I met his eyes unflinchingly, determined to confront the mistake I had made.

"Rudy! What happened to you?" Aanvik's concern echoed in his voice. Rudra struggled to speak, hindered by his wounds, intensifying my guilt and pain. Meeting Rudra's gaze with remorse, it seemed enough for Aanvik to grasp the situation. He looked away, rushing to Rudra's side to assess his well-being. Attempting a smile for my sake, Rudra winced as Aanvik checked his wounds. I looked down, an inaudible whimper escaping me, as even though the injuries weren't severe, they felt like a bleeding wound, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was the cause.
