The weather is becoming warmer,
flowers are blooming all around us,
the birds are waking us up with their chirps,
and the ducks are looking for snacks from us
when we take walks in the park.
Everything seems so perfect
on the surface
but how can we be happy about the April weather
When the world is overheating?
How can we keep equanimity?
We are watching helplessly
as the world around us burns
animals are dying
and the earth is dying
Why won't anybody help us?
Why are they watching their creations die?
