When I look at you with a widening smile
I can see all the love I've carried for a while
& my future in the same glistening tear
It's a feeling I never cared for
Until you started to calm down my racing brain,
I know I'll always get you, and it'll always remain,
& my smile with uncharted happiness
will soon to be uncovered by you
& when you look at me with glistening tears
Everything fades into only you.
In every way a human is capable
You make me feel cared about
You recall everything about me
& when you comfort me,
While I'm having trouble sleeping
It's like you're the only one I'll ever hold onto
because when I'm with you,
Life seems to stop
Then all I can think about is you
& nobody else matters.
