You used to say
I was just like the modern-day Bonnie
and you were just like the modern-day Clyde,
you outfoxed many into believing you were comfort
and I was too in deep with you to know,
once I'm too far into your life
it will all end
just as quickly as it started
and I won't even get to finish my sandwich
before they come and take me from you,
even when I'm in my grave
I'll talk to your body
and when you come back to my heaven,
I'll watch myself grow out of the earth's womb
and my body will become immortal.
You said
we would be the most loved team in history
but I know we were cracking
and we charmed the world with our hoaxed love
to be the most loved team in history.
