because you left me
with no other choice
but to keep walking in place,
you told me you would be back to hold me
so I stay in place waiting for you.

and my chalky sidewalk
that never changes,
I see your giant body
trying to fit into my swing set,
trying to swing with me
holding my tiny body that's shaken with fear.

I'm still in the same spot,
seeing the same things
replay over again,
I'm trying to beg you to see that
I don't want to play with you
but you're not coming back to you.
