Taylor glanced up at the clock for what felt like the 15th time since she walked into class. She was ready for her classes to end before they had even begun this morning. She leaned back in her desk as she fiddled with the necklace that hung around her neck and showed off her boyfriend's initials. She smiled a little, remembering the night Travis put the necklace around her neck.

"I can't believe you're leaving me tomorrow," Taylor said, wearing a frown on her face.

"I know. I really wish you were going with me." Travis didn't know what he was going to do without Taylor. The blonde meant everything to him. She was more than just her girlfriend, she was literally his best friend and the glue that held him together.

"I'm sorry my grades weren't good enough to get into that school." Taylor apologized. It was their dream to both go to this school, but when the letters came in the mail, only one of them was accepted. And the one that was accepted had a football scholarship that was going to be hard to turn down, especially when they came from the neighborhood where they did.

"You know you're way smarter than I am. They just want my athletic skills to take them to the Sugar Bowl." He was always very honest with himself. "You should have gotten in. Your grades are great." He hated that she was blaming herself for this. He also hated that he was getting a full scholarship to this school to play football, while she hadn't gotten the same just for her grades. They both thought it was crazy how easily athletes got scholarships while everyone else struggled to get one.

He had taken her to see a movie, out to dinner, and now they were in his car on their way to his brother's apartment. His brother had given him permission to use his apartment for the night, so he could spend some alone time with her.

"I didn't know we were visiting your brother." She said when she realized they had pulled into Jason's apartment complex and were on their way to the section in which Jason lived.

"We're not. It's just me and you." He told her, parking his car in Jason's usual spot. "He's letting use his place for the night. He' with Kylie." Travis still lived with his parents, as did Taylor, so alone time was always hard to come by. Thankfully, Jason understood what Travis wanted the apartment for for the night.

Taylor gave him a smile. "Really?" This was going to be so much better than sneaking into a bathroom at school, the backseat of his car, or having to pray one set of their parents were gone long enough for them to not get caught. "Tell Jason he's the best brother-in-law ever," Taylor told him, leaning over to kiss is cheek.

Travis got out of the car, and walked around to her side, opening the door for Taylor. He took her hand and helped her out of the car. When they first started dating, it took her a while to get used to not just jumping out of the car when the car was stopped and parked. There were times when Travis would literally force her to get back into the car so that he could open the door for her and help her out. Now, it was her expectation.

With their fingers intertwined, they made their way to Jason's apartment door.  "You ready?" He asked, and she replied with a nod. Using the extra key to Jason's apartment, Travis opened the door, revealing a dimly lit apartment, with rose petals lining the floors.

Taylor gasped. "Baby!" She squealed. He smiled. He had worked hard on this. He had been trying his best all day to get the apartment and the room decorated for her tonight. Seeing the big smile on his face, and the way her eyes lit up made all of the work worth it.  She stepped into the apartment and just looked at everything. The candles, the balloons, the rose petals on the floor. It was beautiful. "This is so beautiful. I love it." She told him. She took his face in her hands, stood on her toes, and kissed him. By now, he had already come into the apartment himself and closed the door behind him.
