What if I told you that in each set of twins there is a good one and an evil one? And that there is a special world separate from earth where these twins are born. Within this world, parents Hazel and Landen are wanting to give their children a different path in another world. In order, for their children to have a normal life, they must escape from their homeland. For this reason, Hazel and Landed choose to send their children away, "We need to hurry, Hazel! They are on their way to take the children from us,"

"I know, I'm wrapping them up in their blankets with their names on it. So, when they are found, whoever finds our children will know their names. There! both are nicely tucked and warm up with their blankets".

"Good! We can finally leave now." Landen grabs his wife right hand as she grabs the basket with her twin babies with the other hand. They are both wearing dark clothes, so they are not spotted by the night guards easily and as they leave their cottage behind, they don't hesitate to look back because they both know they are doing the right thing for their children. Both Hazel and Landen were going to send their children off in a flying ship with a trustworthy friend of theirs.

Hazel and Landen decided that taking the back way was the safest route as there were less guards securing the kingdom. They quietly sneak up towards the creek where there Is a small boat tied up to a tree, waiting for them. Quickly, Hazel gets in the boat with the basket that is holding her twin babies. As Landen unties the rope from the tree he rapidly hops into the boat and as soon as he gets in, they start paddling away as fast as they can. Landed knew that the night guards had already gone to their home in search of them, he had a strong feeling that they must have gone through their things. "Do you think they know what we're up to?"

"I'm sure they do, my love. I would not even be surprised if Nora sent the guards on a man- hunt for us, but do not worry, I will not let them get to our children. I'll make sure of it."

A few minutes have passed, and Hazel looks around and as she sees through the fog that there were boats behind them. She could see people holding torches. They were on to them. Landen looks behind him after seeing the scared expression that Hazel was making. He saw the flames as well and immediately tells Hazel to paddle faster. Both paddles as fast as they could because they knew they were close to land, where their friend was with the flying ship waiting for them.

As soon as they get on land, they quickly both get out of the boat and made their way to the ship. There awaits their friend, Ace and he tells them both to hurry before the guards see the flying ship; although the fog was coving most of it and it was also night. Hazel did not want to let go of the basket, but she knew she had to give Ace her babies. She and Landen trusted Ace to keep them as safe as possible and far away from the kingdoms. They both knew their twin babies were headed for a normal, better life.

Hazel holds her son West while Landen holds his daughter Paisley. The parents look at each other and gave their children kisses on their foreheads. Ace looks at his friends with sad eyes and tells them he will take care of them. After they kiss their children one last goodbye, they put them back in the basket for Ace to take. He takes the basket and walks into the ship but not without looking back one last time at his friends, for he knew it was going to be the last time he was going to see his long dear friends since he knew since he was a child.

Hazel and Landen watched the ship fly away as they held each other tight. Landen then turns to look at his wife and asks her if she is ready. She looks back at him with tears in her eyes and tells him that the only thing that could hurt her was losing him as well, but that she was ready to be by his side. As the guard-boats arrive to land where Landen and Hazel where, Landen pulls out two swords he had hidden in the boat and throws one to Hazel. She catches it by its handle and is ready to fight as much as she can by her husbands' side until their last dying breath.

All the Night guards arrive on land and surround the couple. The captain of the guards speaks up with a loud clear voice, "What have you done with the December Twins?" Neither of them says a word. "Last chance, what have you done with the twins?" There was still no answer from either of them. The captain gives the guards a signal to attack Hazel and Landen. There were about thirty-night guards and although, Landen and Hazel knew they were outnumbered. Not a single worry crossed their mind because they knew they were better fighters than all those men put together, after all, both used to be the kingdom's personal protectors.

There they were, fighting by each other's side just how they used to do when they were younger. They were both fighting with more passion than ever before. Landen was taking on all the guards on the left side, while Hazel was taking all the rest on the right side. The captain noticed that they were both getting tired. Suddenly, a guard grabbed Hazel from behind and as soon as Landen noticed, he threw his sword at the man, this leaving him unarmed and vulnerable.

Two guards grab Landen and push him down on his knees as the captain yells at Hazel, telling her to put her weapon down. She stares at Landen, and he stares back at her, shaking his head telling her not to. Before either one of them could say I love you, the captain slit Landen's throat. "No!" Hazel screams as she drops to the floor and begins to cry. She just saw her husband get killed right in front of her and she knew she was next, but not without getting one last kill. She decided to aim at one more person, and that person was the captain.

The captain starts to walk off as he tells the rest of the men to finish her off. Hazel still had her sword and was willing to use it on all the guards that were in her way to get to the man that killed her husband. She fought every guard with so much anger. Once the captain realized she was getting close to him, he panicked and started running towards the boats. Hazel finished killing the rest of the night guards and catches up to him, leaning her sword towards his heart in his chest. As soon as she was about to finish him, he said something that made her freeze, "Do what you want with me in the end, you and I both know that only one child of yours will live."

Hazel looks at him with disgust on her face, "Perhaps you're right about one of my kids but your done for." With that said, she stabs him deep with her sword and finishes him off. Unfortunately, Hazel had no idea that Nora, the ruler of Night Kingdom, was standing behind her with a small knife. Even though the knife was small, it was still deadly enough to stab Hazel from behind. Nora had hidden in one of the boats the whole time. She knew that either Hazel or Landen would survive. After all they are consider both Kingdoms greatest fighters.

Hazel falls and sees Nora had been the one that had stabbed her. As blood builds up in her mouth and starts dripping down to the ground, she starts saying a few words. Nora bends down to make clear of what Hazel was saying. Her last words were, "You're going to get what's coming." Nora laughs as she watches Hazel die. She knew that no matter what, her mission was to find the precious December twins.

Ace decides to land his ship where there is an abundance of trees, away from any human contact, in hopes of keeping the twin's privacy undisturbed. Once, landed he grabs the twins and heads out. While he walks miles after miles, the babies started to get cranky. West begins to wail and sob uncontrollably, and all Ace can say is, "I am so sorry for your parents.'' Although he knew they could not understand him, he felt the need of letting them know his condolences. Randomly, singing arose and Ace became curious as to where it was coming from. He followed the voices and spotted a camp that looked to be a couple of children singing with adults. Something clicked in Ace's head. He gently placed the basket on the floor and made a loud noise, to attract the adults to the basket. Then, Ace quickly runs behind a tree as one of the grownups approaches the noise. The man saw the babies and was startled, he calls for his wife to look at what he found. She grabs the babies with caution and looked to see if there was anybody around. They could see no one. So, they took the twins back to the campground.

Ace still was unsure if he did the right thing, but he told himself every year that he was going to visit the twins to make sure they were in safe hands.
