                                                                                         -West-

The ship is landing, and I can see a tall man outside the ship window waiting for us to land. I am guessing he must be Bight Kingdom ruler Pierce. I'm nervous and trying to hold it together. What will everyone think about me and Paisley. I mean we are outsiders after all. I still don't understand this ritual and why it's so important. It doesn't matter because we finally landed and once we did, we exit out the ship. I can tell Paisley is trying to be strong for the both of us. She knows how nervous I get when unexpected events happen. Like how every time we were put into a new foster home or school. I was always scared what the other kids would think of me, but I always had my sister by my side.

The tall man that was waiting for us outside of the ship is wearing a long cloak that was gold. He is now standing in front of me and my sister. He observes us as if he were some judge and needed to approve of us. I felt like a car being shown at a car lot show. I kept quiet and just waited if he was going to say something to us.

"You must be the December twins. It is very nice to finally meet the both of you. I am Pierce, the ruler of this kingdom that you are in. Quick we must get you to the arena and get you both dress before dusk. We only have an hour to do everything in such a short of amount of time."

A carriage with two horses arrives in front of us. Pierce gets in it and tells us to get in with him. Running through my mind was that this was going to be the first time I was going to ride in a carriage. They have flying ships and carriages but no cars. This was a weird planet. Paisley then asks Cyrus if he was going to join us.

"I'll be at the arena along with the other sun twins. I promise I will see you both there."

With that said we were off and on our way with Pierce to the arena. My sister and I kept quiet, even though we had questions for Pierce, but we knew right now was not a good time to ask him. Yet I did want to know why we were heading to this arena that seems to be away from Bright Kingdom. I mean we just arrive here, and the carriage seems to be taking us farther away from the Kingdom wall. So, I decided to ask. "So why not do the ritual at one of the Kingdoms?"

"The arena is the halfway point for both kingdoms. It's also the only building that both of kingdoms people are allowed. I guess you could say the arena is the piece gathering. None of the Night people are allowed in our kingdom and we are not allowed in theirs as well. When Pierce said that it made me wonder what happens if they do enter. "What happens if the rule is broken?"

Pierce looks directly at me. If someone were to enter one of the kingdoms, the other kingdom will have their own punishment for them but if it happens again then that would mean they are breaking the ultimate rule. There is strike one which is the punishment and then there is strike two which leads to a battle. No one has ever broken the rule but that's because no one wants to be the cause of both kingdoms going at war."

All I could think of is how strict they must be around here. What kind of world separates siblings from one another and makes them become enemies? I cannot imagine hating my sister. She is the only family I have got and she's also my best friend. My mind went through a lot of thoughts. This was all so much to progress.

Where here outside in front of the arena. I can hear the people inside. It's just one big, huge circle building in the middle of nowhere. There are tents outside of it as well. Pierce walk us towards one of the tents. As we enter the tent, there stood strangers looking at us. They are probably the handmaids that Cyrus brought up from earlier. Pierce tells them to get us ready quick. Some of them grab me while the others grab Paisley.
