- West -
I had no idea what I was looking at. I do know that I wanted to know who these men were. Could they be from the government or even better, space. I mean what the heck are they wearing. I will not lie, their armor looks cool but, why are they wearing it in the first place? I mean they look like their getting ready to go to war. So many things were running through my mind.
Paisley and I were standing behind a large wide bush. Plus, it is already dark, so I'm pretty sure they won't see us spying on them. "Paisley, who do you think these guys are." My sister looks at me with a blank expression. "I have no idea West, but we should probably return back home."
Paisley was right, it was probably best for us to leave. As we were about to head back home, she pulls my left arm and shakes it and tells me to wait. She points at the ship and out came some more men. Two more men came out of the ship. These men seem to look much younger than the other ones.
They were wearing the same outfit as the others. Except for one of the young men that just came out. His armor looks the same as the rest of them, but he had what seems to be the shape of the sun carve on to the front of his chest armor. Maybe they were scientist, trying to study the sun and just so happen to pick this spot. I look over to Paisley and ask her what she thinks about all of this. "The one with the sun shape on his armor is kind of cute." That is my sister for you, always having guys on her mind. "Seriously Paisley, out of all things to say, you choose to say that you think one of them is cute." I can tell she was embarrassed with what she just had said. "Sorry, I'm just in shock and that's what seem to come to my mind."
I just rolled my eyes at her. All I knew is it went from six men to eight of them. I mean where there more men in that ship or is that just it. They were all standing in a circle now facing each other. That is until the guy that Paisley thought was cute walks in the middle of the circle and starts to talk to all the men with a loud clear voice. "Listen up men! We are here on a mission to find the December Twins. We need to get them back home. It has been 13 years since their disappearance and we got to get them back to Bight Kingdom before dusk, but first we need them to know they belong with us. It's very important that we get to them first before Iris and the Night guards get to them before we do."
What was this guy talking about? Why are they looking for twins? I mean there is no way they are looking for me and my sister. Yeah, her and I are twins, but our last name is not December. Our last name is Jones. That was out adopted mother last name. Our mother was not married to no one. She raised us all by herself and gave us her last name, but perhaps they are talking about us. After all we were found 13 years ago, but what does he mean we belong to them. One of the guards decides to speak up. "Sir, how do we know they are close by." The guy in the middle of the circle started talking again. "Let us just say we receive word from someone at Bright Kingdom about their location. They live in a small little brown house not too far from here."
I am pretty sure they were talking about me and Paisley soon as they mention Ms. Tucker home. The facts add up. The crazy part is they brought up a Kingdom. I mean there are no more kingdoms even still standing in this time. I was starting to believe these guys were from the past. Maybe their ship was a time machine that travels through time. All I know is that these guys were planning to kidnap me and my sister. I was not going to let them get nowhere near us. I whisper to Paisley. "We need to head back and call the police, I'm pretty sure these men are talking about you and me."
"I think your right West, let's get back home and call the police right away."
We quietly turn around and started heading back home, but it was already night. So now it was a little hard to be able to see what we were stepping on. There were leaves and broken little pieces of branches laying everywhere on the ground. We had to be extra careful not to make a noise by stepping on any of them. We took little steps and tried to be very quiet as possible, that is until I step on a branch. Paisley and I turn around to see if any of the men heard us. We were lucky none of them heard anything. I was looking at Paisley and even though it was dark I knew she was smiling at me because we were going to get home without getting caught. I look at her and whisper that was a close one, but I spoke too soon. A huge eagle above us in a tree spot us and started making noise. All the men turn to look at the eagle and eventually saw us.
