The Decembers

Chapter 42

    Were all gather at Cyrus tent. He has the biggest one out of all of us. It's not that surprising with him being the oldest out of all of us. I've been inside his tent before but didn't want to say anything to anyone that I have. The reason for that is because the last time I was here, was when I was telling Cyrus about what I almost did to Nora. I still think about it. Not that much like how I use to, but I still wonder what would happen if I did kill Nora. I know for a fact Storm would not be capture but a in tire whole kingdom wouldn't have a leader right now.

    I also wonder, if something did ever happen to Nora, who would be the next leader of Night Kingdom. I mean the people of Bright vote for their next leader, which I think is fair, but Night is different. Nora has no children there for she has no heir. She also doesn't have any other family members that I know of. Perhaps after Nora death, Night will vote as well and chose a leader who is reasonable like Pierce and both leaders will get along, which will lead both kingdoms to put away their hatred away from each other.

    "Alright I see everyone is here."

    Cyrus was right. Everyone was here. Joey, Greyson, Jace, Mary and I, plus all our protectors. I was excited to meet some of the sun twins' protectors. After all last time, my brother and I did not have time to chat with any of them with the kingdom being attack and all. Also, with us attending school and adjusting to this whole new lifestyle takes up most of our time. Now is my chance to meet some of them. I won't lie though, I'm kind of scared. I mean it is my and West fault that their friend Storm is capture with him trying to save us. I mean none of them did not show up to our birthday celebration, but I understand. It would not have felt the same for them without Storm being there. Hopefully after getting him back, we throw another celebration but this time in his honor.

    Avery and I were standing next to each other. We were also standing in a circle with everyone else, while Cyrus was in the middle of it. He was going to go over the plan with us. We have gone over it before but this time it's a little different with the protectors being a part of it and with some of the twins being left out.

    "Here's the plan, so listen up. If you end up having any questions, please wait till the end to ask. Now I am going to begin saying the steps of the plan. Step one, Joey, Greyson, Jace and Mary, you all will pretend to be your siblings. As for Paisley she will pretend to be Mary handmaid. I will pretend to be one of the night guards. Luckily for us, we were able to have a night guard armor. We have one from one of them attacking our kingdom while back. With that said, our protectors will be on standby on the ship where we will land in the woods where the trees will be covering our ship."

    Step one seems simple and easy. It is basically us playing character and landing the ship. I am sure the sun twins know their siblings well enough to impersonate them. Same thing goes for Cyrus. He has fought so many night guards that I'm sure he knows how to act like one. As for me I tend to be a sweet little handmaid myself.

    "Step two, we will leave the ship and walk up to the Night gate. The night guards might ask us what where we are doing out of the Kingdom grounds. That is where you come in Greyson. You will answer any of their questions they ask. If they do happen to ask that question you will simply say that you and the rest of the other twins wanted to skill practice off grounds but couldn't without having a night guard and handmaid by your side. Say that it was Nora only expectation for letting you all be out of the kingdom."

    Step two was going to be a little bit harder than step one. With this one we really needed to trick the guards to let us in and believing who we say we are. I just hope they do not have smart guards guarding the gate. Cyrus was saying that they always change guards at least three times a day to guard the gate so the other ones will have time to rest. Same thing goes for our guards at our gate. So, we shouldn't worry about having guards saying that they never saw us leaving the Night Kingdom ground in the first place.
