-Paisley-
As soon as my eyes open, I knew we were in deep trouble. This whole thing was a trap, but the real question is why she lured us here. What was Nora purpose in all this? All I know is that I had just woken up from a deep sleep. I have no idea how long I've been asleep for, but I do know that I don't like the room I'm in. It's basically a jail. Avery, West, and I where all lock up behind bars. Nora must have had her guards carry us here when we were knock out. I needed to wake up Avery and West, so we can figure a way out of here.
I decided to wake up them up right away. Avery will not like the room were in. We were basically in a dungeon. "Come on, it's time to wake up the both of you." I was standing between Avery and West, trying to shake them both. They both were opening their eyes. West jumps up from the floor. He remembers right away with what just happen with Nora.
I try to calm him now. He was full of anger. I mean so was I, but we had to think smart right now and not let our anger get to us. If anything, it might lead us to doing something we might regret later. Avery got up from the floor as well. She apologizes about our parents. There was something about her saying sorry that made me start tearing up. They both saw that tears were running down my cheeks and gave me a hug. I tried whipping the tears away, but it kept coming down.
West looks directly at me. "I know our parents didn't die that easily. From what everyone is saying about our parents. They are both great fighters. I believe they gave Nora a hard time."
"I used to hate our parents. Thinking they just abandon us like we were just trash to them. I wish I could take all those thoughts back, but I can't."
"I know what you mean. I used to think the same thing, but now we both know that they loved us more than anything and that's what matters now."
West was right. It was not about the past but the present that really matters. Out of nowhere we all heard footsteps. Someone was coming down here. We could see that person shadow and of course it had to be Iris.
She is looking at us from the other side of the bars. I wonder if she knew about Nora killing our parents. I decided to ask her. "Did you know?"
"I had no idea. Everyone knew your parents tried running away but, in the end, they were not trying to run away. It seems like they wanted to stay and fight. Not a lot of people would do that."
"Do what?"
"Stand up to Nora."
You can tell by the way Iris was talking and looking at us that she felt sorry for us. Maybe she can help us escape. Perhaps there is still good in her. I know I thought that before but with how she is acting towards us, seems like she does have good in her. After all she did want to be a Sun twin not a moon twin or maybe Nora taught her to be very deceiving towards others to get her way. Why did she come down here in the first place?
Avery had the guts to ask Iris to let us go. "I'm sorry I cannot do that." I wanted to let Iris know that she was welcome to join us.
"Why not, you can come with us."
"None of you get it do you. In the end every single set of twins will have to face each other. You cannot run away from your destiny. I mean look at the both of you. You are both were your parents never wanted you to be. They tried so hard to get you away from here. You know, I wish I had parents who had fought for me, but I guess we all can't be lucky."
West and I look at each other. I just remember that Iris parents did not even fight for her at her ritual. They just accepted the fact that she was a moon twin. Now I know why she is down here. She wanted to let us know that she too was sorry for our parent's death. I mean she was not directly saying sorry, but she was trying in her own little way. I could see Cyrus in her. They both have that bravery in them and that independent leader role.
