                                                                                       -Paisley-

Tomorrow is going to be 13 years since my brother, and I were found by a family in the middle of nowhere. My brother and I have no clue what day our birthday is or who were the people that had found us and drop us off at a police station. Eventually, my brother and I got adopted but sadly our adopted mother died in a car accident when we were just six years old. Throughout the years my brother and I have gone from foster home to foster home. My mother family always saw us as trouble children, they were not the only ones who did, let us just say my brother is the reason why we have been kicked out so many times. He has some serious anger management problems.

My brother and I always stuck by each other sides. There was one time we were separated for five months at different foster homes. Those were the worst five months of my life. He is my only family. Luckily, a woman took us both in under her roof. The only thing is she is a terrible person. She knows that she is the only reason why my brother and I are still together. We call her Ms. Tucker and too her my brother and I were simply maids in her eyes.

West and I were walking home from school and by the look on my brother's face, I knew something was up with him. "West, what's up, you've been quite this in tire whole time coming home from school." He looks at me and I knew right then he got himself into trouble at school once again. "I got another pink slip from my gym teacher, he caught me pulling the fire alarm."

"So, you're the reason why the whole school had to evacuate." He looks at me with a smirk on his face. "Yeah, that was me. Now I have no choice but to give this pink slip to Tucker for her to sign, but that's not all. The principle plans on calling her later today to tell her about what happen at school, and he also wants to bring up my current bad grades I've been receiving."

"What's wrong with you West! Did you forget that Tucker is the only reason why you and I are not separated? This can push her to the edge and make her change her mind about keeping us together." Knowing my brother though, I knew he had an idea up his sleeve. "I know that's why I was thinking you can forge her signature and if we get her out of the house, you can be the one to answer the phone call and pretend to be her by using her voice. I mean we've done it before."

"Your right I have forge her signature, but never have I ever pretended to be her over the phone, what if we get caught." West just looks down at his feet and kept quiet, but I knew if I did not do this, Ms. Tucker will have us separated because she already warns us that she does not like dealing with trouble. "Alright, lets figure out a way to get Tucker out of the house before the principal calls."

West looks back up at me and smiles, but I had told him this was the last time, that I was not going to help him out next time. I also made him promise not to get into any more trouble. It's funny, his excuse for the fire alarm was that he was pressure into it by the other boys in his class. Unfortunately, that was West way when it came to making friends. He is always trying to impress the kids at our school by doing things that he knows he should not be doing.

We arrive home and there awaits Ms. Tucker in the living room reading her magazines like always. As soon as we came into the house, she lays her magazine down on the couch. "Good your both here! Paisley, I need you to start my laundry and West I want you to vacuum my car. Do I make myself clear children?" West and I were both use to doing Ms. Tucker chores. We were her slaves, and she knew that we would never disagree with what she says, otherwise she would threaten us by separating us. So, we just both say what we always say to her. "Yes, Ms. Tucker."

This was our everyday routine with her. This is also the reason why my brother and I are receiving bad grades; we never have the time to study for anything at all because she is always having us doing something around the house. My grades are hanging on by the tread. Honestly, I am getting tired of this old hag truthfully. I have had enough of her treating us like this. Without even thinking I end up turning around to look back at her and before I could reach the laundry room, I told her no. I can tell by the way she was staring at me with that expression she didn't like what I just said just now. "What was that you said little girl." I hate it when she calls me little girl. "You heard me I said no."

"Are you forgetting that with one phone call, I can easily separate you and your brother. You will not be by each other sides anymore. Is that what you really want." I didn't know what came over me. It wasn't me to say something like, but I'm just so tired of the way she treats us like were her personal slaves. I swear I felt like Cinderella sometimes except for I do not see a happy ending for me. West steps in between us and started talking to Ms. Tucker. "What she meant was, that instead of waiting around here for us to finish, you should be out having yourself a nice dinner with a fella. I heard that the San Diego Pool team are in town and that there having dinner at Wild East tonight. You should go and get yourself some autographs."

She looks at West then over to me. I think she was debating to herself to leave us here alone. I knew she was hesitating to believe a single word West was saying so I decided to go along with what he said. "He's right, that's what I was going to say. After all, your always in the living room, you should go out have some fun." She knew we were right about her needing sometime to herself. "Your both right. I don't even know why I'm still here looking at you two. I prefer to be out then waiting for you two finish up the chores."

Ms. Tucker grabs her bag from the kitchen table and as she was about to walk out the front door, she turns around to tell us that when she gets back, we better have everything done and with that said she left. It was just West and I for now. We didn't know how long she will be gone but hopefully long enough for us to receive that phone call from school without her being here. Now all we had to do is wait for that call.

Two hours had pass by, and we were lucky that Ms. Tucker has not come back yet, but here I was doing her laundry while, West was cleaning the living room. I hated doing her laundry, especially her underwear. They were extremely wide and huge. I tried not letting it get to me, even when there are days her clothes stink badly. Suddenly, the home phone rings from the kitchen. I enter the kitchen and yell for West to get in here.

I was scared to answer the phone. I mean after all I sounded nothing like Ms. Tucker. She had an old hag cranky voice, while mine was soft and light. West heads to the kitchen where I was at. Once he got here, he started counting to three for me that way it would be easier for me to answer the phone. As we got to three, I pick up the phone and gave it my all to sound like Ms. Tucker. "Hello who may I ask is calling."

Wow I could not believe it. I sounded very similar to her voice that I was doing. West was trying his best not to laugh while I was on the phone. I continue to talk to our principal about West behavior and his grades. We agree that a week of detention was fine with me and that I would get him a tutor to help him with his grades. What seem like an hour conversation was a seven minute one. I hang up the phone and look at West. We both could not help ourselves to let out some laughs.

My brother stops laughing and suddenly his whole expression change. I knew why he was upset. He is upset with the same reason that I am. It is going to be close to midnight in a couple of hours, that means our birthday is coming up. We don't even know our real birthday, except that were 13 years old. Our mother that adopted us said that our birthday should be the day we were found. So, I guess you could say at midnight is our birthday. The sad part is that my brother and I never really did celebrate it. We don't even know who's the older one between the two of us. The only thing we know is our names because we were found with blankets covering us with our names sewn on to it.

As I was about to say something to my brother, a bright blue light shine through the kitchen widow. West looks at me confused about where the light was coming from. "What's that". Him and I had the same confused expression. "I don't know West, but we should stay inside." Knowing West, he is not the type to stay put. "No way Paisley, let's check it out."

I didn't want to listen to him and head outside. Especially, because the house we lived in is in the middle of the woods. Plus, never have I seen that type of light before. It gave me the creeps. The closest house is about one mile away. We lived in Stonehill. A town that is surrounded by tons of trees and high hills, but I was curious to know where that light was coming from as well, I agreed with West to check it out.

We open the back door and step outside and started following that blue light. The closer we got the brighter it became. I knew deep down we should be turning back but something was telling me to get even more closer to it. Then there stood what seem to look like a giant spaceship. I was starting to think my brother and I were both looking at a UFO. The door on that ship started to open and out came about six men all wearing what seems to be gold armor. Their outfits look very similar to mid evil time era. I can tell West and I were thinking the same thing. Who are these people and what are they doing here?
