-West-
I woke up scared having a thought that came to me in my sleep. The thought was about Avery and Paisley both killed by Nora. Knowing that Nora already took two people that I love, makes me worried that she can take two more people. The good thing is as soon as I open my eyes, the fear was gone. My sister was sitting beside me reading a book. She must have been waiting for me to wake up.
"Paisley. You're here."
"Of course, I'm here. I wanted to be here when you woke up."
"How's Storm. Were you guys able to bring him back?"
"Yeah. He is here. Everyone is going to gather in the garden soon. We should hurry up and be on our way. That is if you prefer to stay and rest some more."
"Are you out of your mind. Of course, I want to go and see him. Let me just get ready."
As I was trying to get out of my bed. The photo album that belongs to my father slips out under my pillow. I placed it there when I got back last night. I didn't want to show it to Paisley until later, but she picks it up and started looking through it. I just sat there watching her make different expressions on her face. She went from happy to sad then to anger. I am guessing her anger is coming from the picture of our parents with Nora. I know Pierce told me to leave it but I end up convincing him to let me take it.
I told her everything that Ace told me. She was taken by surprise by what I was telling her. I also told her about the building and how I will take her there later tonight. For a moment Paisley just sat there without saying anything. You can tell she was trying to process everything in. Then she finally speaks up.
"I would love to go see that place."
I was happy that she didn't blame Ace for anything. Instead, she understood. I was scared that she would be angry. In the end Ace was our guardian angel. He believes in us like nobody else does. That is something my sister and I never had growing up.
After a little bit more talking about Paisley and how my night went. We decided to finally head off to the garden where we first will have breakfast with everyone. When we arrive there after getting off the carriage. I still couldn't believe that Iris helped with the mission. When Paisley first told me that she helped, I thought she was joking around with me. Honestly if it wasn't for Iris having feelings for Storm, I still wonder if she would have helped still. In the end maybe a part of her was helping as well because Cyrus was a part of the plan and deep down, she knows she still cares for him and that was her way of showing her feelings without saying anything.
When we arrived at the garden, the first person I was trying to look for was Avery. The only people that were here in the garden was all the sun twins and the protectors and of course Pierce. Yet I could not find the one face I really wanted to see until I felt a tap on my right shoulder. I turned around and it was her. A huge smile came over me and I felt myself blushing, but I didn't care if it was obvious.
Avery gave me a hug and I gave her a half hug since I am still using my crutch. I didn't want to let her go. I wanted to tell her that I had been worried about her all night and could not go to sleep because she was on my mind. I didn't say it but one day I will let her know how I feel about her. Today is not that day though. Today was all about Storm.
When Avery and I were done hugging, I then saw Storm. He looks like he got a good beating but was putting up a brave face. I am sure he went through something that was a nightmare for him but I'm thankful that Iris got him out of that situation. After he gave his happy to be back speech. He walked towards Paisley and me and told us that he wishes to talk to us alone.
