-Paisley-
West and I are just standing here as everyone keep staring at us. I look up at the sky since the arena has no roof. I can see the moon and sun beside one another. They both look like they are forming an ellipse, but it was not an ellipse. I know how an ellipse looks like and this was not it. I look back down and saw the stones were shaking on the table. My brother and I are staring at each other, were both scared not knowing which one of us will become a moon or sun twin. I am pretty sure none of us wanted to represent the moon. I don't know anything about Night Kingdom, but it seems like they are cruel from the vibe I was getting from Iris and her night guards earlier. Plus having that Nora chick as a ruler must really suck. Just the way she talks seems like she thinks of herself too highly from everyone else.
Both stones suddenly raise up. The moon light then shines onto its stone while the sun did the same with its own. Both stones are raising higher and higher. Everyone was at the edge of their seat. This feeling felt like when you are on a roller coaster with a bunch of strangers but, yet everyone is hype for the major drop. I felt like I could not feel my body right now. All I could feel is how frozen I was.
The stones are shaking again but this time both are floating up in the air. I don't think there supposed to be shaking that much. I can tell something was wrong by the way everyone in the arena face expressions they were all making. I wonder if something was happening. Perhaps West and I were not the right set of twins after all. Maybe they got the wrong twins, and we were from earth and not Rave.
Suddenly, the stones drop back on the table the same spot they were place before. Everyone made a shocking noise. The whole arena filled with people shouting stuff like we need a moon and sun twin. Pierce stood back up again and yelled at everyone to be quiet. The arena was in complete silence again. "As you can see, we are too late. It seems we must wait for the next time the sun and moon meet again to know which of these twins will represent them."
Half of the crowd booed at Pierce. My guess was that part of the crowd was from the Night Kingdom. Nora stands up and tells her people to be silent. She tells her people that Pierce is right. That we must wait for the next time. Nora continues to talk.
"It seems we won't know anything until their 18 birthday to know which one of them will represent the moon and sun. As for now I still think it is best to separate them both. I think its best if I take one twin back with me while you take the other back with you Pierce. It's for the best for both Kingdoms."
I could not believe what I was hearing. First, the stones were supposed to tell us where we belong, and that plan did not seem to work and yet they still want to keep us apart. Not if I have something to say about it. I step a few steps more forward from where I was standing. I was going to speak my mind and I am not going to care if they don't like what I'm about to say. "My brother and I will not be separated. We will stay together no matter what."
You can tell Nora did not like what I had just said. She looks over Pierce as if she were asking for help. Pierce looks at me and West as if he were thinking to himself about what I had just said. "I believe the girl is right. We should not separate them. I mean how can we when we don't even know which one of them is a moon or sun twin."
I glance at Cyrus, and he is smiling. I then look over at Iris and she on the other hand looked angry. Overall, Nora did not like how Pierce agreed with me. She disagrees with Pierce and continues to talk as if anything she is going to say next will change my mind about being separated from my brother. "If that's the case then I think the Night kingdom should take both of them."
