The Decembers

Chapter 19

    We are all awake and ready to continue our journey. Paisley and I put on our Armor. Mine fit me a little big but it is better than nothing. I thought it would feel a little heavier, but it wasn't so bad. I was just glad to be wearing some armor. After all were going to need protection from anyone who tries something on us in Night Kingdom.

    We grabbed our bags and carry our swords. It was cool to have my own sword, but Avery was saying that we would have to give it back to the protectors. I just hope that Pierce still gives us our brand-new swords still even after us leaving Bright Kingdom. I mean it's not like we left because we didn't like it there. It's something that my sister and I needed to do.

    We've walk miles and miles. I wanted to know if we were even close to the Kingdom, but we still haven't reached the forest. Out of nowhere I heard Avery yelling at us. "Look, that's the creature forest. All we must do now is walk a few more miles through the forest and soon as you know it, we'll be out of it and from there Night Kingdom isn't too far from the forest."

    Avery was right, all we had to do is walk a little faster than normal. Her and I were already stepping into the forest except for Paisley. You can tell she was scared. She could not even move a single bone in her body. Paisley was completely frozen.

    "Come on, Paisley, there's nothing to be scared of."

    "What if the rumors are true and there are deadly creatures waiting for us in that forest. They probably want to eat us all up."

    "Look at me Paisley, I won't let nothing happen to you, but if you don't want to go in there, we can always turn around and go back."

    Paisley takes a deep breath. She looks at me and tells me that she does not want to go back. I look at her and ask once again if, she was sure. "I'm sure."
