Chapter 46

    I felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me. I am sure I wasn't the only one feeling that way. Greyson and I both look at Cyrus. We were waiting on his response, but it seems like he was speechless. Someone needed to talk right now because the whole room was starting to feel uncomfortable.

    I look at Storm and saw that he has some cuts here and there and bruise on his forehead. He looks like he went through hell but with that kiss he just received from Iris it seems like he was in heaven. I wonder what explication they were going pull out their sleeve. I am sure Iris really enjoy that kiss as well from what I just saw. I knew there was something between them when I first saw them speaking to one another.

    "Storm what are doing kissing my sister. She's not even on our side."

    "Cyrus. The only thing I can say is that I've always loved Iris and I still do."

    When Storm said that we were all taken by surprise, even Iris looks like she had no clue how strong his feelings was for her. All I know was that this was between all three of them. I felt like Greyson, and I shouldn't be in here. Yet, I wanted to know everything that happen between Storm and Iris. Wait till everyone finds out about this back home.

    "It doesn't matter what you feel for her. We need to go now. If you stay Nora will have you kill. You know how important you are to Bright Kingdom. Come with us now Storm."

    "I'm afraid I can't let you take him. He's still a prisoner of Night Kingdom."

    "Do you hear yourself Iris. Storm just said he loves you and yet you still want him kill."

    "Of course, I don't want him kill. Do you think I ask for any of this? Why do you think he is with me? The guards were beating him up and treating him awful. So, I kept him here where I could keep an eye on him. Plus, Nora told me she wasn't going to kill him."

    "Are you sure she won't kill him, because that last time I check she wants a war."

    Iris is quiet. I think she knows that Nora does want Storm dead and that he was just bait to start a war. Nora must really mess around with Iris and the other moon twins' heads. Yet she is supposed to be their ruler. Cyrus was right, Storm cannot stay here no matter how much he cares for Iris. Storm then turns and looks back at Iris.

    "Iris, you need to let me go back with them. If I stay here, we both know what will happen to me."

    Iris and Storm both look like they are about to cry. You can tell they truly care about each other. Even though Iris has not told Storm that she loved him back yet, you can read it all over her face that she does. Iris does not want him to go but she knows that he needs to. It is the only way for him escape his death.

    "Then go."

    "Come with me."

    "No. This is where I belong. I won't leave but you can. I can help you all get back to the gate without worrying about any guards being suspicious or seeing Storm. I'll distract them so you can easily leave Night Kingdom."

    "Won't you get in trouble with Nora."

    "Not if she thinks you escape on your own. If you escape without her knowing you had any help, then there won't be any war to begin with."

    Cyrus walks up to Iris, and everyone is on their tip toes. What he says to her has us in shock. He thanks her for her help. Iris just looks at her brother and says nothing. She asks us how we got in Night Kingdom. We told her everything. We also told her that Joey, Mary and Jace are probably now waiting for us.
