Finding You, Part 6, Chapter 7
At General Hospital, Genevieve's room—Genevieve was in bed and woke up as Constanza entered. "Constanza, you're back," Genevieve said. "Yes, I heard about what happened to you. I had to come," Constanza replied as she held her cousin's hand. "Thanks for coming. How is Llanview?" Genevieve asked. "It's alright. I miss my family here. I hate that Daniella wants to be there," Constanza said. "I'm sure. I'm glad you're back," Genevieve said. "Me too. How was Italy?" Constanza asked. "It was nice. Alexander and I had a good time. I want to stay there," Genevieve replied. "Why didn't you?" Constanza asked, as Skye peeked and saw them talking, then went outside to listen. "Alexander thinks I need to deal with my parents and not run away," Genevieve explained. "I heard about Skylar's accident," Constanza said. "You know she can't have children," Genevieve asked. "Yes. It's up to Skylar to forget them, not you," Constanza replied. "I know. It's just that Skylar is too easy on them—they all are. I'm the only one who stands up to my parents," Genevieve said. "Yeah, you always did. So, what did you and Alexander do in Italy?" Constanza asked. "We had a wonderful time. We made love and had a romantic dinner. We only had one fight; it was a big one, but we made up," Genevieve replied. "What was the fight about?" Constanza asked. "I had a scare. I thought I was pregnant because of Alexander's decision not to wear a condom, but thank God I wasn't," Genevieve explained. "Are you sure?" Constanza asked. "Yes, the test was hard to read. It was different from ours, but yes, I'm sure," Genevieve confirmed. "You're happy about it?" Constanza asked. "Yes, I'm not going to be a mother. I don't want a family of my own—just my career," Genevieve said.
In the hallway, Skye was listening. When Lorenzo passed by, she put her finger on her lips and took Lorenzo's hand, and they moved aside. "Lorenzo, I was just listening to our daughter talking to Constanza. Genevieve was happy when she learned there was no baby. Our daughter doesn't ever want a family of her own, so let's not say anything," Skye whispered. "Are you sure?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes. I will deal with Dr. Kelly," Skye said. "Alright, I agree. This is for the best," Lorenzo replied. "Yes, I just hate that Genevieve doesn't want a family of her own," Skye expressed. "Just give her time. She's young," Lorenzo said. "Yes," Skye agreed. "Let's go visit our daughter," Lorenzo said.
Back in Genevieve's room, Genevieve and Constanza continued their conversation. "How long are you staying?" Genevieve asked. "I'm back for good," Constanza replied. "Good. I bet Uncle AJ will be happy," Genevieve said. "Yes, I need to see Daddy," Constanza said. "You're lucky he's your father—a normal guy," Genevieve commented. "I know," Constanza agreed. Skye and Lorenzo entered. "Constanza, it's good to see you. AJ will be happy," Skye said. "Thanks, Aunt Skye. I'm going to see Daddy. Genevieve, I'm glad you're okay," Constanza said. "Thank you," Genevieve replied. "Is Daniella coming back?" Lorenzo asked. "No, Daniella wants to stay in Llanview," Constanza responded and left. "I'm glad Constanza is back," Genevieve said. "Me too. Both of you girls belong in Port Charles; it's your home," Skye affirmed. 'Yeah, Mom. I'm only moving back to recover—that's it," Genevieve said. "I know, baby," Skye replied, as Robin entered. "How are you doing?" Robin asked. "Good. When can I get out of here?" Genevieve inquired. "In two more days, you can go home," Robin answered. "Thank you," Genevieve said. "You're welcome. Skye, do you remember how to clean the burns?" Robin asked. "Yes," Skye confirmed. "Good. I'll give you a mask to wear—you need to keep it on," Robin instructed. "How do I shower?" Genevieve asked. "You will have to have a sponge bath. You need to keep the burns clean and dry," Robin explained. "I will. What about Alexander?" Genevieve asked. "I don't know about Alexander, but where he's at, he will get the best care. I know Nikolas will make sure of it," Robin assured her. "Yes, I hope so," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, you need to just get better," Lorenzo advised. "Your father is right," Skye agreed. "I will. Can I get out of bed for a while?" Genevieve asked. "Sure, a walk would help you. Just have someone walk with you," Robin suggested. "I will go with you," Skye offered. "Alright, I need a robe," Genevieve said. Skye helped Genevieve with her robe and assisted her out of bed.
