Finding You, Part 6, Chapter 8 - At the Burn Center

Nikolas and Emily were talking to a doctor about Alexander's case. "Well, my son is getting better; I want the best care for him," Nikolas said. "Alexander will get the best care as soon as possible," the doctor replied. "I want to be on his case," Emily said. "I don't think that's a good idea," the doctor responded. "I think it is. My wife knows our son," Nikolas argued. "Alright," the doctor consented. "Good, and we're going to get a place nearby so we can take care of our son," Nikolas added. "Yes, we are," Emily agreed. The doctor left as Alexis came by.

"Alexis," Nikolas greeted. "I just want to see if you need anything," Alexis offered. "Emily and I are going to get a place close to our son," Nikolas said. "Good. If you need anything else," Alexis added. "Thanks, I think I can manage here," Nikolas replied. "Nikolas, don't worry about the estate," Alexis said. "Alexis is right," Emily agreed. "Yes, I know. I'll call Victor," Nikolas said, then he left.

"Emily, are you okay?" Alexis asked. "I'm just worried. I love Alexander like my own son. Yes, my blood doesn't run through him, but he's my son," Emily explained. "Yes, he is. Alexander loves you," Alexis reassured them. They shared a hug.

Nikolas was on the phone with Victor. "Victor, I know you love school, but I need you to come home, please," Nikolas pleaded, then hung up as Emily and Alexis arrived.

"Is Victor coming home?" Emily asked. "No, he doesn't want to. Victor has always been jealous of his brother. They both need each other," Nikolas explained. "Yes, they do. Just give Victor time," Emily suggested. "Yes, he'll change his mind," Alexis said. Laura then came by.

"Mother," Nikolas greeted as Laura hugged him.

"I'm sorry, son. How is Alexander?" Laura asked. "He's going to be fine," Nikolas reassured her. "Yes, he is," Laura agreed. "Let's go check on Alexander," Emily suggested, leaving with Alexis.

"Oh, Mother, I'm scared," Nikolas admitted. "I know, baby, and we will make sure Alexander gets better. I promise, whatever you need, I'm here for you," Laura said. "I know," Nikolas replied. "How is Alexander?" Laura asked. "He thinks he's ugly. Did you know he pushed Genevieve out of the way on the jet so she wouldn't get burned?" Nikolas shared. "Alexander loves her," Laura said. "Yes, my son does, ever since they first met as kids," Nikolas added.

At General Hospital, Genevieve and Skye were walking down the hall. "You're doing great," Skye said. "Mother, I know you want to take care of me, but I don't want to feel like a burden," Genevieve responded. "Never, baby. We'll get you back to bed. Your father will be back with lunch soon," Skye assured her. "Yes, Mother," Genevieve agreed. Skye helped Genevieve to her room and into bed.

"Baby, I love taking care of you. When you were little, you hardly let me care for you, and I want to fix things between us," Skye said. "Maybe," Genevieve replied.

At the Quartermaine estate, Alan was in the den looking at a picture of Alexander and Genevieve from when they were little. Monica came in.

"Alan," Monica said, sitting beside him. "I'm so scared for our granddaughter, Genevieve, and Alexander," Alan expressed. "Me too. Alexander has the most to recover," Monica added. "Yes, he does. Have you talked to Emily?" Alan asked. "Yes, Emily and Nikolas are planning to get a place nearby and be there for Alexander," Monica said. "Good. We'll definitely visit him," Alan said. "Yes, I know he's not our grandson, but I love him like one," Monica admitted. "I do too," Alan agreed. They shared a hug.
