Finding You, Part 6, Chapter 30: At the Burn Center
Alexander was walking with the therapist when Genevieve entered. "Genevieve, just stay there. I want to walk into your arms," Alexander said. Genevieve stopped in the room, and Alexander walked alone into her arms. "Oh, Alexander, that's wonderful," Genevieve cried. "No crying, Goddess," Alexander said, wiping her tears.
"Can we be alone?" Alexander asked.
"Sure, we are done for the day. You did great," the therapist said and left.
"Genevieve, what is it?" Alexander asked.
"I just want things to go back to normal before all this," Genevieve said.
"I want that too, and it will go back to normal soon for both of us," Alexander replied. He touched her mask.
"What?" Genevieve said.
"I want to see it," Alexander said.
"Don't," Genevieve pleaded.
"Please," Alexander begged.
"Alright, just promise me that nothing will change between us when you see it," Genevieve said.
"I promise," Alexander said. He removed the mask, looked at her scar, and touched it.
"It's ugly, isn't it?" Genevieve asked.
"Have you seen it?" Alexander asked.
"Yes, I have. What do you think of it?" Genevieve questioned.
Alexander touched it and then kissed it.
"It isn't part of you. It's just a scar, and soon you can have plastic surgery. I will find the best one for you," Alexander said.
"Thank you," Genevieve replied.
"Are you alright?" Alexander asked.
"Yes, Alexander," Genevieve said.
"Genevieve, something is going on with you. I know you inside and out, and I want my one honest answer," Alexander said.
"Alright. Today I tried to kill myself," Genevieve admitted.
"Genevieve, why would you do that!" Alexander yelled.
"I didn't like the fact that I can't shower myself because of the burn on my back and the scar on my face, which makes me look like a freak," Genevieve explained.
"You're not a freak, and you will get better. We both will," Alexander assured her.
"I feel like I'm not the same person, and I don't like it," Genevieve said.
Alexander touched her hair.
"You are the same, my Goddess. Promise me you will never do that again," Alexander said.
"I promise," Genevieve replied. Alexander kissed her lips— a passionate, hot kiss— as Skye and Nikolas entered.
"Genevieve, it's time to go," Skye said.
"Genevieve, I will always love you, even with that scar," Alexander added.
"Oh, my prince," Genevieve responded.
Skye and Genevieve left.
"Alexander, what is it?" Nikolas asked.
"Genevieve tried to kill herself today. I'm scared. I need to get better for her," Alexander said.
"You will," Nikolas reassured him.
At Skye and Lorenzo's house:
Skye and Genevieve arrived home.
"Mother, thanks for letting me see Alexander. I needed that," Genevieve said.
"You're welcome," Skye replied as Lorenzo entered.
"Genevieve, you look happy," Lorenzo commented.
"I saw Alexander today. I'm going to rest for a while," Genevieve said.
"I will be up there to help you with the change you're going through," Skye promised.
"Alright," Genevieve said, going upstairs.
"Lorenzo, call off this plan to break up Genevieve and Alexander. It's helping our daughter recover to see Alexander," Skye explained.
"Don't you get it? Because of Cassadine, our daughter isn't herself anymore!" Lorenzo yelled.
"Lorenzo, it's not Alexander's fault. You hate being blamed for things. Please, just stop," Skye pleaded.
"Fine," Lorenzo said.
"Good," Skye replied, walking upstairs.
"Sorry, Skye, I lied," Lorenzo admitted.
In Genevieve's room, she sat on her bed when Skye entered.
"Genevieve," Skye said as she sat down and cleaned the bandages.
"Genevieve, I'm sorry I wasn't there today too," Skye added.
"Mother, it's not your fault," Genevieve responded.
"Well, don't try to do that again. I do love you," Skye said.
"I know, Mother. I love you too," Genevieve replied.
"Well, I will let you get some rest," Skye concluded. Genevieve kissed her mother on the cheek, and Skye left.
