Finding You, Part 6, Chapter 9—
At the General Hospital—Genevieve's room—Genevieve was in bed, and Skye was in the room. "Why don't I brush your hair while we wait for your father?" Skye asked. "I can brush my hair, Mother," Genevieve said. "I know," Skye replied. "Just because I can't clean the burn on my back and I have this burn on my face doesn't mean I can't take care of myself," Genevieve said. "I know that. I just want to take care of you. You are my baby," Skye said, touching her daughter's face. "Mother," Genevieve said as Alan came in. "Grandfather," Genevieve greeted. "How are my girls?" Alan asked. "Good. Genevieve is getting out soon," Skye said. "That's great. Skye, can I talk to Genevieve alone?" Alan asked. "Sure, Daddy," Skye replied and left. "Thank you, Grandfather. She's already driving me crazy," Genevieve said. "I know. Your mother was so scared when she got the call about the jet and doesn't want to lose you," Alan said. "I know, but I'm not a little girl. I can take care of myself," Genevieve said. "I know, just try to meet your mother halfway," Alan said. "Alright, I will try," Genevieve agreed. "Good," Alan said.
At Dr. Kelly's office—Dr. Kelly was working when Skye entered. "Skye, what can I do for you?" Dr. Kelly asked. Skye closed the door. "I know my daughter was pregnant. I don't want you to tell her about the baby," Skye said. "You want to keep that from Genevieve?" Dr. Kelly asked. "Yes, the baby died anyway. Genevieve needs to focus on her recovery," Skye replied. "You're asking a lot of me," Dr. Kelly said. "I know. Please do this for me. As a mother, I want to spare my daughter any pain," Skye pleaded. "Alright. Genevieve needs to come in for a check-up to make sure she can have children in the future," Dr. Kelly said. "Sure, just tell Genevieve she needs a Pap smear," Skye said, then left.
In Genevieve's room—Genevieve was with Alan when Robin entered. "What is going on?" Genevieve asked. "I have a mask for you to wear. You have to wear this all the time," Robin said, placing it on her face. It only covered the burned side. "I haven't looked at the burn," Genevieve said. "Don't. It will heal," Robin assured her. "Yes, it will," Alan added. "Do I look like a freak wearing it?" Genevieve asked as Skye and Lorenzo came in. "No, you don't look like a freak," Alan said. "No, you're still a princess," Lorenzo said, kissing Genevieve on the forehead. "Thanks," Genevieve said. "If you have any questions, let me know," Robin said. "Thanks, Dr. Scorpio," Genevieve said. "You're welcome," Robin replied. "Say hello to Emma for me," Genevieve added. "I will," Robin responded and left. "Genevieve, it's going to be okay," Alan said, kissing her on the cheek and leaving. "I have your favorite lunch," Lorenzo announced. "Thanks, Daddy," Genevieve said. "I will be right back," Skye said and left.
"Daddy, what did you and Genevieve talk about?" Skye asked. "I just told Genevieve to try to work things out with you. Don't blow your chance with her," Alan replied. "I will not. This is my second chance to make things right. Maybe my baby will stay home and not go back to that hotel," Skye said. "Maybe," Alan agreed. "Have you heard from Emily?" Skye asked. "Yes, but it's not good," Alan said. "No, Alexander saved my baby. He pushed her out of the way; if he hadn't, that could have been Genevieve," Skye said. "He loves Genevieve," Alan said. "Yes," Skye confirmed.
In Genevieve's room—Lorenzo was setting up lunch on the table. "You have made your mother very happy by coming back," Lorenzo said. "It's just until I get better. Daddy, I will not forget what happened. I'm not like Skylar," Genevieve responded. "I still and always will hate myself for what I did to your sister. But I do love all of you," Lorenzo said. "If you loved us that much, you would have left your work," Genevieve said. "You would think that what you've been taught has changed you," Lorenzo replied. "No, it didn't—not in that way," Genevieve said as Skye entered. "What is going on?" Skye asked. "Nothing. Let's have lunch," Lorenzo said. Skye sat on the bed next to Lorenzo. "How come I haven't seen Lila Rae and Luis? Are they sad I made it?" Genevieve asked. "Genevieve, don't talk like that," Skye urged. "No, your sister is away, and your brother will be here soon," Lorenzo said. "Yes, they love you," Skye added. "Oh, where did Lila Rae go?" Genevieve asked. "On a trip with Morgan," Skye answered. Genevieve had a flashback to the plane crash as it started to catch fire, and Alexander pulled her away while the fire engulfed him. "Genevieve," Skye called. "Genevieve," Lorenzo said. "Sorry, what did you say?" Genevieve asked. "Genevieve, where did you go just now?" Skye asked. "I was thinking about the plane crash. I need to see Alexander," Genevieve said. "I know, but you can't," Skye replied. "Yes, I can. You're just keeping him from me," Genevieve insisted. "No, we're not. He needs to recover," Lorenzo said. "Don't you get it? He saved me! I need to see him!" Genevieve yelled.
