Finding You Part 6, Chapter 21 -
At Skye and Lorenzo's house
Skye and Lorenzo were having dinner with their children.
"Genevieve, tomorrow there's a new bookstore opening at the mall. Do you want to go?" Skylar asked.
"No thanks, Skylar," Genevieve said.
"Don't you want some new books?" Skylar asked.
"I can order them online if I want any books," Genevieve replied.
Lorenzo and Skye shared a look.
"Genevieve, I'm sure you'd have fun at the bookstore. You loved visiting the new ones when you were younger," Lorenzo said.
"That was then, before I was a freak," Genevieve responded.
"Genevieve," Skye said.
"Lila Rae, where is Morgan?" Genevieve asked.
"Morgan's at Carly's," Lila Rae said.
"Oh," Genevieve said.
"Luis, what did you do today?" Skye asked.
"I worked at Dad's coffee shop and ran into Josslyn," Luis Jr. said.
"Really? Luis, Josslyn can do better," Genevieve said.
"Josslyn isn't that bad. You two are alike," Luis Jr. replied.
"No, I'm smarter than Josslyn," Genevieve said.
"Just please try," Luis Jr. pleaded.
"Fine, can I be excused?" Genevieve asked.
"Yes," Skye said.
Genevieve went upstairs.
"Mother, what's going on?" Lila Rae asked.
"Your sister is having a hard time dealing with how she looks right now. We have to help her," Skye said.
"We will," Skylar said.
"Yes, Alcazar, take care of each other," Lorenzo said.
"Yes," Skye replied, taking his hand.
Genevieve came downstairs wearing a wrap.
"Mother, Daddy, I'm going for a walk around the grounds," Genevieve said.
"Sure, do you want us to go with you?" Skye asked.
"No, we're the new horses here," Genevieve responded.
"Yes," Lorenzo said.
Genevieve left.
"This is a good thing," Lorenzo said.
"I hope so," Skye replied.
At AJ and Lydia's house — AJ was talking to Constanza.
"Have you seen Genevieve?" AJ asked.
"Yes, I ran into her at the coffee shop. It wasn't good. Genevieve thinks people were looking at her," Constanza said.
"Oh no," AJ said.
"Yeah, it's bad. And you know Genevieve; she doesn't do feelings," Constanza added.
"Yes, she's like Tracy. Did you tell Skye?" AJ asked.
"Yes, I just hope Genevieve doesn't find out," Constanza said.
"Constanza, you did the right thing," AJ said.
"Thanks," Constanza replied.
At the burn center — Alexander's room — Alexander was alone, sleeping when Genevieve entered and looked at him.
"Oh, my prince," Genevieve said as she touched his arm, causing Alexander to wake up.
"Goddess," Alexander said.
"I know I shouldn't be here, but I had to see you," Genevieve said.
"I'm glad you did," Alexander replied.
Genevieve sat on the bed.
"How are you doing? What part of your body was burned?" Alexander asked.
"The left side of my face and my back," Genevieve said.
"I'm sorry," Alexander said.
"It's not your fault. You saved me," Genevieve responded, kissing him.
"Always, Goddess," Alexander said.
"I wish we could take care of each other," Genevieve added.
"Me too. Did you move back home?" Alexander asked.
"Yes, I hate it," Genevieve said.
"I'm sorry," Alexander said, touching the mask on her face.
"How bad is it?" Alexander asked.
"It's bad. You don't want to see it. Just promise me you'll get better and come back to me," Genevieve begged.
"Always. I will always come back to you," Alexander assured her, touching her lips.
"I miss your touch," Genevieve said.
"I miss it too," Alexander replied.
At Skye and Lorenzo's house — Skye was looking at her watch when Lorenzo entered.
"Genevieve should have been back by now," Skye said as the guard entered.
"Mr. and Mrs.. Alcazar, Genevieve took the car," the guard reported.
"Oh, great," Skye said.
"Why didn't you stop my daughter?" Lorenzo yelled.
"I didn't see her leave until she pulled out of the driveway," the guard said.
"Where would she go?" Lorenzo asked.
"To see Alexander," Skye said.
"Let's go," Lorenzo ordered, and they left.
