Finding You Part 6 Ch 39 ~ "Losing Genevieve"
At Skye/Lorenzo
Skye was looking out the window, crying when Alan and Rae walked in. "Skye," Alan said. Skye turned around. "Daddy, Mother, I need you both," Skye said. "What is it?" Alan asked. "I might have lost Genevieve for good," Skye said. "Why?" Alan asked. "Lorenzo and I made a mistake. We thought it was for the best. We wanted Genevieve to focus on her recovery, not worry about all this. In Italy, Genevieve thought she was pregnant but had a hard time reading the test and thought it was negative, but it wasn't. She lost the baby in the fire, and Lorenzo and I kept it from her," Skyesaid. "No," Rae said. "Yes, Genevieve found out today, and she's so angry. I think I've finally lost my one chance with her," Skye said. "I'm sorry," Alan replied. "Thanks. Genevieve wants to move back home — last night, that's all she could talk about; she can't be alone," Skye added. "Let me talk to her," Alan offered. "I just want to fix this," Skye said.
Genevieve's Room — Skylar was holding Genevieve, who was trying to pull herself together when Lorenzo entered. "Genevieve," Lorenzo began. "I don't want to hear another lie, Daddy," Genevieve said, getting up, with Skylar following. "Genevieve, you can be mad at me all you want; you usually are. But do not take this out on your mother," Lorenzo said. "Don't tell me what to do," Genevieve answered as Alan came in. "Grandfather, did you hear about what my parents keep from me?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, Genevieve, I found a plastic surgery option for you. It's in the City," Alan replied. "Really? When can I go?" Genevieve asked as Skye and Rae entered. "You can go as soon as you're ready," Alan said. "I want to go, but not with them," Genevieve said. "I will not go with you. Maybe we do need some space," Skye responded. "Skye," Lorenzo said. "No," Skye replied. "Your grandfather and I will go with you," Rae said. "Sure. Can I say goodbye to Alexander first?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Alan responded. "Skylar," Genevieve said. "Go. You need this, and I will be right here," Skylar reassured her. "Yes, let's do this," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, I really hope you give us another chance," Skye added. "I need a pain pill," Genevieve said, opening her medication. "Let me help you get ready," Skylar offered. "Sure," Genevieve responded.
Skye, Lorenzo, Alan, and Rae went downstairs. "I don't like this. Genevieve needs to be here. Who is this doctor you found for our daughter?" Lorenzo asked. "She's a great doctor, the best one, and I think this is a good thing. You both need some space. I know I'm not a perfect father, but if you keep making mistakes, Genevieve will never forgive you," Alan said. "Just keep an eye on my baby girl," Skye requested. "We will," Alan replied as Genevieve and Skylar entered. "Genevieve, I know you're angry with us right now, but we love you, baby girl," Skye said, kissing Genevieve on the cheek. "Yes, we love you, princess," Lorenzo added. "Let's go," Genevieve said, and they left. "Skye," Lorenzo called out. "Don't, this is all on you!" Skye yelled, then she left.
