Finding you, Part 6, Chapter 12
- At General Hospital - Genevieve was wiping her eyes as Skye came in. "Genevieve," Skye said, "Mother, was it your idea to send Dr. Collins in?" Genevieve asked Skye, who was sitting on the bed. "Yes, you need to talk to someone either way," Skye replied. "No," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, you've been through a lot. You need to talk to someone," Skye said. "Did you talk to anyone when you were healing from your burns?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I talked to your father and Dr. Collins," Skye answered. "Oh, well, I'm not ready to talk," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, please, baby, let me in," Skye pleaded, touching her daughter's hair as Robin and Bobbie came in. "Thank God," Genevieve said. "We need to change the bandages," Robin said as she removed the bandages from Genevieve's face. "Can I see it? Does it look bad?" Genevieve asked. "No, it doesn't look bad," Robin replied as Lorenzo entered and saw the scars on his daughter's face, looking shocked. Robin lied, saying it looked bad. Genevieve didn't notice him come in, but Skye turned around and saw Lorenzo upset. He walked out into the hallway and cried as Skye approached. "Lorenzo," Skye said. "It's bad, Genevieve, scars on her face," Lorenzo said. "Yes, right now it looks bad, but Genevieve doesn't need to know yet," Skye responded. "No," Lorenzo said. "Lorenzo, you need to pull yourself together. We can't fall apart," Skye said. "You're right. Is this bringing up memories for you?" Lorenzo asked. "A little, but our daughter finally needs us," Skye said. "Yes, I'm going to get Genevieve some ice cream," Lorenzo decided. "Alright," Skye replied. Lorenzo kissed Skye on the cheek and left; she went back into the room. "Mother, is Daddy here?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, baby, he went to get you some ice cream," Skye said. "Oh," Genevieve responded. Robin finished bandaging her face and was now bandaging her back. "Are you okay?" Bobbie asked. "Yes, the pain pill has helped," Genevieve replied. "Good, Genevieve, your burns are looking great," Robin said. "Good, what about the one on my face?" Genevieve asked as Robin put her mask back on. "It looks great too. You need to keep this mask on for it to heal, and I see no reason why you can't go home tomorrow," Robin said. "That's great," Skye said. "Yeah," Genevieve agreed. "Why don't you rest?" Robin suggested. "I will, thank you, Dr. Scorpio," Genevieve said. "You're welcome," Robin replied. In the hallway, Lorenzo returned with chocolate ice cream as Alan passed by. "Alan," Lorenzo called out. "Lorenzo, I need to ask—was this plane accident, that my granddaughter was involved in, your fault?" Alan asked as Skye approached. "No, it wasn't my fault this time; it was a mechanical error," Lorenzo answered. "It better be," Alan said. "Daddy," Skye said. "Skye, I know you love him, but I'm sick of my grandchildren getting hurt because of him," Alan said. "I hate it too," Lorenzo admitted. "Genevieve is doing well. She can go home tomorrow," Skye said. "That's good," Alan responded. "Yes, it is," Lorenzo agreed. "Did she talk to Dr. Collins?" Alan asked. "No, you know my daughter. I told Genevieve if she doesn't want to talk to Dr. Collins, then talk to me," Skye answered. "I'm happy for you, Skye. I do want you and Genevieve to make it work," Alan said. "Thanks, Daddy. Lorenzo, let's go see our daughter," Skye said, and they left. In Genevieve's room, she touched her finger and said, "I miss you, Alexander," as Skye and Lorenzo entered. "Genevieve, I have ice cream for you," Alexander appeared. "Thank you, Daddy," Genevieve said, eating her ice cream. "So, you get to go home tomorrow?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes," Genevieve confirmed. "Genevieve, we're glad you're okay, and we want to fix things between us. You need to meet us halfway," Lorenzo said. "I will try. Daddy, was this your fault?" Genevieve asked. "No, it was a mechanical error," Lorenzo replied. "Oh, that's weird. Alexander always makes sure the pilot has everything he needs to get us there safely," Genevieve noted. "I'm sure Nikolas will look into it," Skye said. "Yes, I wish I could see Alexander," Genevieve said. "I know, baby. Just rest, and I'll bring you some clothes in the morning," Skye promised. She took the ice cream Genevieve had finished and helped her lie down. "Goodnight, Princess," Lorenzo said. "Night," Genevieve responded. Skye and Lorenzo left. "What did Robin say about Genevieve's face?" Lorenzo asked. "That it will heal. It doesn't look good, but I believe Robin," Skye replied. "Me too," Lorenzo agreed.
