Finding you, part 6, chapter 26,
at Morgan/Lila Rae – Lila Rae and Morgan were home, having coffee on the couch. "How was the fashion show?" Morgan asked. "It was great; it was nice just Mother and I, like before," Lila Rae said. "That's great," Morgan replied. "Yes, it was, and I know Mother enjoyed it. She needs a break from taking care of Genevieve all the time and some kind of normal life," Lila Rae explained. "Yes, I'm glad you went," Morgan said. "I too," Lila Rae added, and they shared a kiss.
At Skye/Lorenzo – Skye, Lorenzo, and Alan were talking. "Well, I have to tell Genevieve she is not a burden. I love taking care of her," Skye said. "I know you do," Lorenzo responded. Dr. Collins came in. "Dr. Collins, thank you for coming," Lorenzo greeted. "Yes, please help my baby," Skye added. "I will do my best to help Genevieve, but she has to open up to me too," Dr. Collins said. "Genevieve will," Alan assured. "I hope so," Lorenzo said. When Genevieve entered, she hoped Dr. Collins could still make it. "Dr. Collins," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, it's good to see you," Dr. Collins replied. 'Why don't you both go into the sunroom?" Skye suggested. 'Sure," Dr. Collins agreed. Genevieve looked at Alan. "Genevieve, it's going to be okay. You need to get better," Alan said. "Yes, Grandfather," Genevieve replied and left with Dr. Collins. "My daughter listens to you, doesn't she? Better than she listens to us," Lorenzo said. "Lorenzo, I don't care right now. All I want is for our daughter to get better," Skye replied. "I want that too. I need to make a phone call," Lorenzo said, heading to his home office. "Oh Daddy, I'm scared," Skye admitted. "I know, baby. But I believe Genevieve will get better," Alan assured. "I hope so. Do you think Genevieve feels bad for not burning as badly as Alexander?" Skye asked. "Partly, yes," Alan responded. "I'm sure she never left," Skye said. "Don't blame yourself or fall apart. Your daughter needs you," Alan urged. "I know, and I won't," Skye promised.
In the sunroom – Dr. Collins and Genevieve were sitting. "So, what happened today?" Dr. Collins asked, gesturing for Genevieve to get up and look out the window. "Genevieve, you need to open up to me if you want me to help you," Dr. Collins continued. "I heard my parents argue. They sure watched me today like I'm a little girl! I can take care of myself; I always could. I loved being independent. It was a part of me, and I feel like I'm losing it," Genevieve said. "Even us independent people need help. It's okay to ask for help," Dr. Collins explained. "I don't like asking for help, and I'm worried this stupid scar won't heal. Well, Alexander still loves me; we've always been together," Genevieve added. "If Alexander truly loves you, he will love you for who you are, and you'll get your independence back," Dr. Collins assured. "Do you think I'm losing my mind?" Genevieve asked. "No, you're not. But you do need help, and we should talk more," Dr. Collins responded. "I hate talking about feelings," Genevieve admitted. "I know, but I won't use anything of this against you. It's to help you," Dr. Collins said. "Alright," Genevieve agreed. "This was good so far," Dr. Collins observed. "Yeah," Genevieve acknowledged. Dr. Collins then left for the living room where Skye and Lorenzo waited. "How did it go?" Skye inquired. "Good. I think it's important for Genevieve to talk with me about this and to start reclaiming her life, like going out," Dr. Collins replied. "Anything to help our daughter, we will pay you no matter the cost. Right, Lorenzo?" Skye asked. "Yes," Lorenzo confirmed. "Don't worry about that. I want to help Genevieve too," Dr. Collins stated. "Good, can you come here?" Skye asked. "Yes," Dr. Collins responded and left. "This is good," Skye said. "Yes," Lorenzo agreed. "I have an idea. We should take Genevieve out for lunch. She needs to eat," Skye suggested. "Alright," Lorenzo agreed as Genevieve came out. "I talked to Dr. Collins. Now I'm going back to bed," Genevieve announced. "Genevieve, we're going out to lunch at the hotel. You need to eat," Skye said. "Mother, I just want to sleep," Genevieve replied. "You can't spend all day in bed. It's not right, and you need to eat," Skye insisted. "Mother, what if someone looks at me?" Genevieve asked, covering her face with her mask. "Genevieve, if anyone says anything, just tell me. I will handle it," Lorenzo assured. "Daddy," Genevieve called. "I will just talk to them. Now, let's go," Lorenzo said. "Do I look okay?" Genevieve asked, picking up her purse and a scarf from the table to cover her face. "Yes," Skye replied as they left.
