Finding You, Part 6, Chapter 15 —
At Skye and Lorenzo's — Skye and Genevieve entered the house. "Genevieve," Skye said. "I'm going to my room," Genevieve replied. "Do you want me to go with you?" Skye asked. "Mother, I can go up the stairs by myself," Genevieve said. "I know," Skye responded. Genevieve went upstairs. Skye poured herself some water, knowing it would be hard to get close to Genevieve, as Lorenzo came in carrying bags and coffee cups. "Skye," Lorenzo said. "This isn't going to be easy, is it?" Skye asked. "No, but we don't do easy," Lorenzo replied. "No," Skye agreed.
Genevieve entered her room, looked around, and sat on the bed as Lila Rae entered. "Genevieve," Lila Rae said. Genevieve turned to see her big sister. "Lila Rae, you're back," Genevieve said. "Yes, I'm sorry about the plane crash. I'm glad you're okay; I meant it," Lila Rae replied. Genevieve stood up. "I'm not okay. I have to wear this mask on my face!" Genevieve yelled. "It will heal, right?" Lila Rae asked. "I hope so. I'm sorry," Genevieve said. "It's okay," Lila Rae said. "So, where did you and Morgan go?" Genevieve asked. "To the city," Lila Rae answered. "Are you going to marry him, be a mob wife like her?" Genevieve asked. "Mother, isn't that bad?" Lila Rae responded. "I want to be alone," Genevieve said. "Sure," Lila Rae said and left.
Skye was placing the treats Lorenzo brought home on a tray when Lila Rae came downstairs. "Lila Rae, you're home," Skye said, hugging her daughter. "Yes, I'm, Mother," Lila Rae replied. "I'm glad you're back," Skye said. "Me too. I just saw Genevieve," Lila Rae added, as Lorenzo entered. "Lila Rae," Lorenzo said. "Daddy," Lila Rae responded. "How did it go with Genevieve?" Skye asked. "Mother, she's angry," Lila Rae said. "I know, but we'll all heal from this and become a family. I'm going to check on your sister," Skye said. "Skye," Lorenzo said. "Don't," Skye responded. Lorenzo and Skye went upstairs.
Genevieve was in the bathroom, looking in the mirror and about to remove the mask to see her scars, when Skye and Lorenzo entered. Skye was about to stop her, but Lorenzo grabbed her arm. "Let her," Lorenzo said. Genevieve looked at her scars and touched them without crying. "Genevieve," Skye said. "Oh, Mother, I didn't hear you come in. I was just going to clean it," Genevieve replied. "Let me help you," Skye said, moving closer and assisting her daughter with cleaning the burn. "I brought home some treats from the shop," Lorenzo mentioned. "Thanks, Daddy," Genevieve responded. "Let's go downstairs," Skye said as she finished. "Alright," Genevieve agreed. They went downstairs.
