Chapter 40: Miko the Glitch?

Third P.O.V

"Forget about the glitch! I want to see BITT take clips from our lives and edit them into like, a televisionish sitcom opening!" Miko said to change the subject. "That sounds epic!" Kitty agreed. BITT then proceeded to have an intro with a sitcom theme for Glitch techs. Introducing each of them with their own name cards. "If you can do that? Can you take out all of our voices and replace them with kitty cat sounds?" Haneesh asked. Everyone started laughing. There was then different clips of everyone played with cat sounds going over them. "Look, we're getting off topic here. Even if Kitty looks cute with cat sounds." Mitch said, unamused. "Haha! Kitty is a real kitty!" Haneesh said. "BITT if you can do all that, I say you take a whole mess of rando clips and skrush them all together in one big video mashup!" Zahra said. "Yeah! with uh, chipmunks!" Haneesh said. "ooh and food!" Nix added. "And a walrus!" Miko said.

BITT started to play clips full of nonsense and Kitty had to fight the urge to laugh. Especially the Mitch clips that had him saying 'Cookie' at random moments. "Wait! Wait! Wait! Aren't we all forgetting the fact that one of us might actually be a glitch?" Mitch said, trying to get everyone back on track. "Boring. Hey, you guys actually wonder how many times we've actually said the word 'gltich'?" Miko asked. BITT then played every single moment they said the word glitch. "Ah! The word is getting engraved in my brain!" Kitty said dramatically. "Wait! Put a beat on that!" Five said, finding the repeated word catchy. "Make it metal!" Zahra said. BITT changed the tune to more heavy metal.

"Um, can you make it poppy?" Bergy asked. BITT changed the beat to a poppy theme with cute sounds in the background. This one made Kitty dance a bit, really liking the mix. "No, no. Make it sick!" Nix said and BITT changed it to a more dubstep beat. "Wait a minute." Mitch said in the middle of the clips playing. "Guys. Guys! Stop it!" Mitch yelled as the clips ceased. "That is enough! We may be locked up in this room with a glitch." Mitch said, trying to get focus back on the task at hand. Kitty still thought this was just Barbara's way to keeping them occupied while they did official glitch tech stuff out there, and not some sort of way to sniff out a rat in the company. "Have all of you forgotten what glitches are?" Mitch asked as BITT proceed to show clips of the hostile glitches they've dealt with. "They're destructive. They're relentless. They are monsters." Mitch said as the clips got more and more intense with the glitches.

"Mitch, do you think you're being a little paranoid?" Kitty asked. "Yeah, I agree with Kit on this one" Five said. "Oh, do you think so, Newbie?" Mitch said, more directed at Five than Kitty. "Well, maybe we should be taking another look at you." Mitch said as he leaned over the table looking at Five. "But, wouldn't me not being a glitch also clear Five?" Kitty asked. "Come on, Mitch. High Five is a glitch? Have you ever met the dude?" Miko chuckled as she gestured to Five. BITT started showing clips of Five doing goofy or sweet things. Saying weird stuff and being clumsy. "Five's not a glitch!" The collective said to Mitch. 

"Well of course he isn't. And like kitty said. Logically, if she's been deduced as the glitch based on Five being with her since birth. The same goes for him." Mitch said, scoffing at them. "But now that I've got your attention again, we can concentrate on the real culprit." Mitch explained. "All this time you've been wound up to go in silly circles while the real glitch has been drawing attention away from herself. Isn't that right...Miko." Mitch said as he turned around and pointed straight to Miko. "Me? K.O? That's rich coming from the worst greifer on the Glitch Techs team." Miko said.

BITT then started showing clips of Mitch, which Kitty couldn't help but swoon at as she watched. "Fine, Miko. you can have a go at me all you want. But we all know how your story adds up." Mitch said as he interrupted the clips. "Miko was the only player to log in remotely to the Hinobi smash ball tournament earlier this year. Five shot her ball into the hoop for the winning shot that day, causing a glitch that nearly took down the entire store. Instead of being reset like a normal person, the weirdo alerted another stooge, and Kitty, incited the release of a viral glitch at the arcade...and infiltrated Glitch Techs as a new trainee. Her first day, she destroyed the training sim...and hacked into the central computer, releasing a dangerous glitch into HQ. Since then she nearly destroyed her gauntlet, assaulted her fellow techs, refused to obey orders, snuck unauthorized personnel onto company property, and befriended a rouge tech modder who nearly destroyed HQ." Mitch listed as BITT played the clips. Everyone, minus Five and Kitty, casted their vote to Miko. Those who did gave Miko panicked looks, everything that Mitch was saying added up to them.
