Chapter 42: Glitch Poach

Third P.O.V

"Glitch signatures detected." the gauntlet said as it showed them approaching some glitches. Mitch and Kitty has Five and Miko in the van with them on a co-op patrol. Kitty and Mitch in the front, and Five and Miko in the back. "Woah, check it out you guys. We got a whole bunch of glitch signatures over on Stanz Avenue." Five said excitedly. "Oh! What's it look like cap? Zombie hoard? Orc army? the flood?" Miko asked exitedly. Mitch rolling his eyes.

"Actually, they're-" Five started. "Mitch!" Kitty said out of no where. Mitch yelled out in surprise and stopped abruptly. "Oh no. Them." Mitch said as a bunch of pixel cats were blocking their path. "They. Are. So. Cute!" Kitty said with heart eyes. "I want to take them home and cuddle crush them until their eyes burst." Miko cooed. "They're from Itty Bitty Kitty collector. Me and Kit's favorite kitty collection game!" Five said excitedly. Him and Miko sticking their heads in between the two front seats. "Number two obviously being Litter Glitty Kittysitter." Kitty added. Her and Miko excitedly getting out of the van to get the kitties. "Of course you love those games, Five. Just like this patrol, they're a complete waste of time." Mitch said as he got out of the van.

"Wait! Do you see a tan kitty with a pat of butter on it's head?" Five asked. Kitty and Miko started to look over the different kinds of cats. "Sushi, Fez, whipped cream dollop, paper crown." Miko said as she was counting the different kinds. Kitty was busy taking pictures with them in her hands and having them all pile onto her as she giggled with joy. "Haha, kitty in a pile of kitties." Miko giggled as she took a picture of her surrounded by kitties. "This one is my favorite!" Kitty said as she held up a kitty that had a cat hat on. Mitch rolled his eyes at the three of them admiring the kitties. But couldn't help but smile a bit seeing Kitty so happy. "Of course you'd like Catnap." Mitch chuckled at his girlfriend as she played with the kitty. "There's one rare kitty named Pancake who's worth a ton of XP." Five said as he held up a kitty.

Mitch then sucked in the kitty right out of Five's hands. "Pancake McGuffin? Please, that cat is an urban legend. I tried using every squeak toy in the game and never once got her to show up." Mitch said as he started zapping kitties up in his gauntlet. "Oh? I thought you hated this game, Mitchy?" Kitty said as she stood up and had a bunch of kitties in her arms. A smug look on her face. "It was free to play. At first." Mitch said, muttering the last bit. Kitty placed a comforting hand on his shoulder with a small laugh.

"They're getting away! split up." Five said as the kitties started getting away. Each kitty they snagged was 50 XP. Miko noticed the town boarder on her gauntlet. "Looks like we're on the edge of town guys. What if these glitches cross the boarder into Dabney?" Miko asked. "Then they become a problem for the Dabney Glitch Techs." Mitch said. "Wouldn't we just work with them?" Kitty asked. "Phil's rules on this are clear, Lina." Mitch said. "We are not to peach glitches from across town lines." Mitch said sternly to Five and Miko mostly. Five then saw something at the corner of his eyes. It was a kitty with a pancake on its head. "Pancake! The legend is real!" Five said with sparkles in his eyes. Five tried going for it but it kept moving.

Five then spotted the kitty but it was getting close to the town line. "No, no, no. Not that way kitty! You don't want to go to Dabney." Five said. Pancake lifted it's foot up, about to step over the town line. "You wanna come with me to Bailley." Five said. But pancake put a paw on the over side of the tracks. Pancake then started running off. Five scanned the area, noticing the town line, Pancake, and the Dabney gltich tech van in the distance. "Nerds, another Tech van." Five said. He then crossed the town line, and his gauntlet started alerting him. He quickly covered it as the gauntlet announced he was in Dabney territory. Five crawled over to Pancake. "Five? Five, did we lose you?" Miko asked over the headset. "Just a sect. I'm uh...just finishing up." Five said with a nervous chuckle. He snuck around Pancake and then sprung out from the grass. "You're mine kitty!" Five said as he snagged Pancake and gained 2000 XP.
