We reached the company at exactly 9:30 am and are now waiting in the lounge for the meeting. At 9:50 am, a man wearing a grey suit approached us.
"You're Ms. Do Do-hee and her manager, Ms. Lee Haewon, right?" he asked, looking directly at me.
"Yes, I am. And yes, this is my manager," I replied confidently.
"I'm Jeon Wonwoo, Mr. Kim Mingyu's personal secretary. I'm here to take you two to his office for the meeting. Please follow me this way." Saying this, he turned and marched forward without allowing me to speak further. I followed him without any more words.
The elevator ride from the 1st floor to the 15th floor was filled with awkward silence. None of us initiated any small talk. It seemed Mr. Wonwoo had no intention of talking unless necessary, which I appreciated since I was in no mood for chit-chat. After we reached the 15th floor, Mr. Wonwoo led us to an office, which I assumed was Mr. Kim Mingyu's. Before entering, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.
''Let's now deal with it'', I muttered quietly as I opened the door and stepped inside.
