'Mingyu?

I was perplexed to see Mingyu standing outside with his luggage, as he had mentioned he would be at his parents' house for a few days. He appeared reluctant to enter his own house with a key, even though it was his place, not mine. Without further delay, I opened the door.

"Hi, sorry to bother you, Do-hee. I know I said I was supposed to come after a few days instead of now, but due to circumstances, I came earlier," he said with a wince.

"No, Mingyu. No problem. It's your house. You can come whenever you want. I shouldn't have any say in it. Come inside," I insisted, letting him in.

"I just didn't want to disturb your comfort by staying here. I was planning to stay at a hotel, but with the media reporters, I thought it better to come here," he explained as he entered.

"You did the right thing by coming here. I would've been upset if you stayed at a hotel instead of your own place, regardless of the media. You can do whatever you want at your place. After all, I'm going back to my place tomorrow."

"I don't mind sharing my space with you either. You're welcome to stay here whenever you want. Let me take a shower first," he said, excusing himself and heading to his room. I brewed some coffee for both of us. After he emerged wearing a plain black t-shirt that clung to his body in all the perfect areas, I shook my head and handed him his cup.

"I made some coffee for us."

"Thanks. Oh, by the way, I have something to tell you," he began, looking regretful. "I know it's in our agreement, but I have no choice in this. I apologize beforehand, but my parents... they want to meet you."

I was quiet for a few moments, unsure how to respond, as our agreement stated this was strictly business. However, feeling I owed him for letting me stay, I smiled and said, "Sure. When should I meet them?" His surprised expression showed he didn't expect my agreement.

"Are you sure you want to meet my parents? You don't have to feel pressured to say yes or anything," he asked, concerned.

"Well, as you said, we're friends, right? Since you helped me by letting me stay at your place when I had nowhere else to go, I think I should also help you by meeting your parents."

He smiled at my response. "Indeed, we're friends. Well then, thanks for agreeing, Do-hee. I really appreciate your help."

"No problem."

"Okay, but let's prepare ourselves for the introduction. Let's say that since we work together, we used to encounter each other a lot and somehow it led us to start dating."

"Sounds good," I agreed to his setup for our background story. We spent a few more minutes planning what to say to Mingyu's family when suddenly someone called me. It was Haewon.

"Hello, Do-hee? Guess what? Mr. Park Gwanhee, the director, just called and informed me that you got cast for the role you auditioned for!"

"What!? Really? That's such good news!" I exclaimed, thrilled.

"Yes! But the thing is, Kang Hyerin is also cast to play a role opposite yours." My mood instantly soured, but I quickly hid my disappointment so Mingyu wouldn't notice. "But hey, let's maintain professionalism, you know? Let's mind our own business without interacting much with her."

I agreed with Haewon and smiled. "You're right. It doesn't matter. Anyway, thanks for the news, Won. See you tomorrow. Bye." After hanging up, Mingyu looked at me expectantly, so I excitedly told him about getting cast for the role. He was genuinely happy for me.

"I'm so happy for you, Do-hee. Congratulations," he said, suddenly hugging me. "I'm so proud of you. You're going to do great." His hug surprised me at first, but I hugged him back and smiled at his words.
